Starlight Express

Hey girls.. crashing your board but i need some help.

the fh and i went to meet with starlight the other day? they showed us a video of thier work but it was quick and of course everyone looked like they were having a good time.

has anyone used them/been to a wedding with them? any feedback would be helpful.

I cannot recommend them enough. I've been to quite a few weddings and not to toot my own horn but as far as entertainment was concerned ...I liked mine the best.
They didn't do anything silly or make my guests feel uncomfortable. The music selection was great and I didn't have to dictate it at all. The night before my wedding I had a talk with my emcee about the vibe I was going for. We talked about what I ABOLUTELY DID NOT WANT (Ie: Gloria estefan, conga line, cheesey party favors, lei's, light up jewelry, cha cha slide) I gave them a few song requests and they based the rest of the night on that. they did SUCH AN AMAZING JOB!!! my dancefloor was packed and even still people keep saying what a great wedding it was and how much they enjoyed themselves. they really got my guests comfortable and letting loose. you had to see my dad dancing OMG!!! DH's 93 year old grandma danced the whole night...now THAT is a good DJ.

Re: Starlight Express

i used them and they were GREAT!! would def recommend them! they listend to everything i asked and kept everyone dancing

i did not give them a list of music to play (besides cake cutting, parent dances etc), i told them to play music that would keep people dancing and they really pulled through with this. Also i asked to not play too much dinner music i wanted people to EAT and get back up dancing. i dont know if it was jsut because it was my wedding, but i really felt like people spent a lot of time on the dance floor instead of sitting at their table eating. I was so happy that they were able to do this.
