Starting over - Smaller halls Under $100 pp

Original post by marymoon

How many times can one couple go back and forth on the same wedding? Let's find out.

We're thinking of scaling down and keeping our date. What are some nice halls that will be well under $100 but still really nice. We want to scale down to 100 or so people. Any ideas welcome. Does anyone have SMCC pricing>

Thanks ladies. I cant believe I'm starting over. I knew it was too easy to be true booking halls the first time. We only looked at NRC and Riviera and we loved NRC so much, but... high min., high price. I didn't like ARiviera that much. The indoor CH area was a dealbreaker for me. Maybe I'm too picky! I just want to find a place that's really nice and I won't feel bad about giving up NRC

you should go out and buy LI Weddings Guide (at Border's). there are a LOT of halls out there for under $100 pp!!! FH and were SHOCKED to find this out. we initially assumed that we couldn't afford anything more than a reception in the back room of a restaurant.

we were glad to be wrong!!

I have sevceral copies of the sites and services guide...but I want reccomendations, who has good food, etc. I tink I'm going to defintiely check out SMCC because it was going to be our next stop after NRC.

FH and I are paying $65 pp for this Sunday (Labor Day Weekend) I would definitely recommend them b/c James is the sweetest most accommodating person I have dealt with yet. His mom just started helping him out also and they make an excellent team.

FH and I went there tonight to drop off our stuff for Sunday and realized that in all the commotion (my Grandfather just passed away and we came back from the funeral this morning) that we forgot to finish putting bows on like twelve of our favors. James offered to go to the store to get the ribbon and tie them himself. Just a small example of all the nice gestures he has made. They have been fantastic so far.

Thanks so much! Best of Luck! You two make a great couple. When we met and you wewre talking about SMCC it made me kind of wish we'd looked there before we booked. It's only 5 min from FH, we're going to check it out I can't wait to read your review~
