Starting over - Smaller halls Under $100 pp

Original post by marymoon

How many times can one couple go back and forth on the same wedding? Let's find out.

We're thinking of scaling down and keeping our date. What are some nice halls that will be well under $100 but still really nice. We want to scale down to 100 or so people. Any ideas welcome. Does anyone have SMCC pricing>

I am having a small wedding of about 100-120. It was hard to find a low minimum in the summer. So we chose Lombardis on the Sound which is 75 person guarantee for sunday afternoon.
Not many other places were accomodating. I think DeSeversky was 90 people guarantee, um.... George Washington Manor was small guarantee, Metropolitan, Fox Hollow, 21 Main, that is all I can think of, the rest of my list is at home FM me if you need any additional info.

We got $57.95 ++ for our date, Saturday night. Normally the big room needs a higher minimim, but he gave it to us with a lower minimum. It could've been our date. So, he might be willing to make a lower minimim for the smaller room, which is normally 125. We even liked the smaller room and went to book it, but after negotiation he gave us the bigger room for a lower minimum. If you're looking for April 1st, I'll share a bunch with you. :) I'm the most laidback bride you'll find.

One word-negotiate. The worst you'll get is no budge. I got better deals on my hall, and hotels just by playing tough. No threats. Just said 'why should I ?' You can get better minimums, prices, vienesse hour thrown in, cakes, chair covers, more choices. The worst they can do is not budge and you're where you started.
