Starting over - Smaller halls Under $100 pp

Original post by marymoon

How many times can one couple go back and forth on the same wedding? Let's find out.

We're thinking of scaling down and keeping our date. What are some nice halls that will be well under $100 but still really nice. We want to scale down to 100 or so people. Any ideas welcome. Does anyone have SMCC pricing>

Jen,

How about George Washington Manor? My friend got married there and it was beautiful!

I paid $60 for a Sunday afternoon in August at Chateau Briand.

Jenn, I REALLY recommend the Scotto halls - working with them was always a pleasure.

Stewart Manor Country Club (SMCC)

I was at $65 a head and made LOTS of changes to the food (including asking for never before included brisket and my own Texan BBQ sauce and chinese appetizers) I had them change the actual set up for me, removed flowers, added fans, screens and asked for a yellow cake with red inside, lanterns on the tables and red table clothes.

THEY NEVER EVEN BLINKED

For a smaller wedding, I LOVE the Riviera, especially if you keep your December date. It's so cozy and nice in there during winter with the dark wood and the fireplaces.

Also, I'd check out Captain Bills. It's beautiful.

We got the Fox Hollow for $89 per person, including Tax & Gratuity. This of course is for 4/30/06, and it's a Sunday Night.

Our minimum is 120, maximum 150

You can try The Douglaston Manor...they have 100 minimum in the room we are using. For peak season with tax included it is just under $80pp.....if you are keeping the December date you can probably get a better rate than we did! Good luck.

Do you have their contact info?

WCC is under $100 (i do understand how you feel) I looked at 20 different halls before I decided on WCC and I can tell you so far it was the best choice I have made.

I fell in love with another hall wont mention names but they treated us horribly!! And Ive been two 2 weddings there since and I am so glad we didnt get married there JMO!

I was devasted by this because I really wanted to get married there... I cried alot!

Now I think about it and somethings happen for a reason!

Good Luck!!!

Well, it all depends on what time of year and what day. I would look into The Crest Hollow Country Club.

We're going through something similar. Here are the halls on our list and I'm pretty sure they're all under $100pp:

Giorgio's at Fox Hill
Smithtown Landing CC
West Sayville CC
Watermill
Jericho Terrace
Milleridge Carriage House
Beach Club Estate
Thatched Cottage

Good luck!
