Ugh, ITA...I went to David's Bridal and when I said I didn't want a veil she acted like I was a lunatic...she said that's how people know you're the bride, and how will you be able to pick yourself out as the bride in pictures if you don't have a veil?!?!
I dunno lady...maybe the BIG WHITE DRESS might hint at who the bride is?!??!
That being said, I have to wear one or my mother will end my life haha. But I feel you

yea i have to wear a veil or my mom will kill me but i am taking it off after the first dance... it's gonna annoy me and be in my way... i'm not having a blusher though, i dont want anything in my face... my mom was pretty much mortified when i told her that but oh well

I had the same problem- everyone was telling me that I HAVE to wear a veil. Its my day I dont have to do anything I dont want to

I'm not wearing a veil, and I shut it down while we were still at the bridal store. They put one on me and I was like 'absolutely not' and just ended it.
Don't let anyone else influence how you want to look!!!!!!!!!!

it's annoying that people have such little respect for my decision

ETA: I'm wearing a veil, but definitely NOT a blusher. I can't WAIT to see FH's family when I walk out without one!

I had the same situation. I didnt want one...and ended up with some crazy cathedral one b/c my mother practically forced it on me

I know how you feel....I didnt want one either and everyone was like what?? why?? but my mom ended up being cool with it until I tried on my dress and she stuck a veil on my head (I ended up liking it and got it)......so mom won!
