Ok, I have one.

Stay at home moms / housewives who do not work

How do you REALLY feel about this? Are you one? Do you think that women should be in the workforce and not at home?

Heather, always causing problems.

If I didn't see you half naked on my screen every day I would think you were one of those feminists that don't shave

That is a good one.

My sister is a Stay at home mom...It's probably harder being home then being at work.. she is constantly 'on' and never gets a break and her job doesn't end at 5:00.

I believe it's beneficial to the kids to be a stay at home mom.. unfortunately I don't think I can be b/c of finances....but I do believe that being home the the children is best for them.

I want to be a stay at home mommy with a nanny so that I don't have to pay attention to my child. but i'll send the nanny home before Joey gets home so that I look like the perfect housewife.

This is hard. I can go either way woohoo

Well I know mothers who stay home and some who work. I always said i wanted to stay home with my children. However, if finances stay the way they are now, I will 100% have to work.
I have cousins who are stay home moms with 2 and 3 children. OMG what a mess, they are CONSTANTLY on the go, and its not a 9-5 job!!! they go until late at night and start again early the next morning. So I look at them and i sometimes think staying home 24/7 is not for me....

i know and that is why i love you

it has nothing to do with your behind!

AND I know a few women that SHOULD get a job bc even though they are home - they DO NOTHING with their children. Their children would be BETTER OFF in daycare actually learning and doing different things each day.

Then again, my sister stayed home with her children and she took them to an activity every single day and took advantage of it. They either went to the library, park, mommy and me, the zoo, the aquarium, the museum - SOMETHING every single day no matter what. When they were home she read books and sang songs and did stuff with them ( still does, she works while they are in school though )

So it depends on each mother and how they interact daily with their children.

ETA: I would love to stay at home but its not financially feasible.

HAHAHAH!!! That is what I could only hope for if I ever decide to have kids-

With that being said I dont want kids and want Greg to work,, so I can do what I please and not work, unless I feel like it.

ITA. what is the point of staying home if you are going to ignore your children all day. I know that it is a time consuming job and that at some point everyone needs a break to do something for themselves, but I've seen moms that do NOTHING with their kids while being a stay at home mom

Re: dajc23 - Dana

My mom stayed home with me until I was 10. We went out to lunch... shopped... drew pictures... went to plays... it was tons of fun. I'd totally do it if I was financially able, although I would feel as if I wasted my degree and would likely do something, even if it was only part time. I do *not* buy the 'its the hardest job in the world' line at all... nor do I buy the 'I'm lucky if I get a shower' line... Granted, its sometimes stressful and trying... but I do not believe for a moment that my moms life home with me can be compared to the 'hard work' my father did out at work all day...

Now go! Attack me! I've left myself wide open for it!
