Std - why didn't I think of this earlier?!

Okay so my mom thinks im being ridiculous. I ordered my stds and ordered a stamp for my return address for the std. I realize after the fact that neither of these have either of our last names! The pictures came out kind if small, which I'm okay with but I feel like some extended family is going to be like 'who the heck are these people?' His family will recognize him in the pictures but I'm scared people won't recognize me

I don't have a popular first name but I'm thinking of making up a wedding website and adding a card in with the std so our last names will be somewhere.
Am I being overly ridiculous?

Lol! I understand your dilemma. What you're doing now is probably the exact same thing I would do. I'm not sure how you will notify people of your wedding website and who knows if most of your guests will even look at it. It may be one of those things that you think might be a problem but isn't at the end. Sorry if that wasn't helpful! Good luck and please keep us posted! (unintentional pun haha)

From one Renee to another... Lol. People will know who you are. And if they don't, do you really want them there? If they don't recognize either of you, then chances are they won't come anyway. I wouldn't stress about it.

If you're that concerned about people knowing its you, for your own mental well-being, I say put together a website (it's fairly easy if you use one of the templates) and just add a little piece of paper/card with the address on it and mentions it's where they can find additional information as it's updated.

FH and I didn't put our last names on our STDs. I figure if they don't know who we are, they should be invited like rcotter90 said... Also, we forgot put our website on the STDs so we made a private facebook group to include as many of our guests as possible and spread the word that way. We have quite a few out of towners so this came in handy to share the hotel information so they could plan early too.

I'm having my FMIL send out STDs with her return address for everyone on her side; saves me time and money lol. Heck, I've told her she could just hand them out to people she sees.

LOL I'm pretty sure I see almost half the people on my guest list at least once a month. I already gave 2 of my coworkers the STDs. They were both very excited, it was kind of cool seeing their reactions.

I Caved!!! i got 100 business cards, used one of our engagement pictures and added our wedding website info on to it (website isnt complete yet). it was $13 on vistaprint including shipping.

We don't have our last name on the STD's, but there is a picture. If people don't recognize us by the picture, then I wouldn't want them at our wedding! Our return address labels only have my FI name because it says, 'The future Mr. and Mrs.' I would not worry.
