That's funny, the one in Rockville Center is right by me and I pass it all the time... didn't even think of that. I did call Burton and Doyles and Corbin and Reynolds. Just have to decide which place now. Thanks!

I know... my parents go there all the time. Funny thing is I don't eat steak. FH and his friends will. I like personally like the steak houses with good seafood. I don't think Peter Luger's has that... I could be wrong though

I also don't eat steak and look for steakhouses with good seafood.... I agree that Peter Luger's isn't one of those--despite the rave reviews for steak

Well there is Peter Luger in Great Neck and Uncle Jack's in Bayside. Both great options Peter Luger only takes cash tho.

Rothmann's, Tellers & Bryant and Cooper are my top as far as food. For New Years Blackstone would be cool also because it is a pretty big place and everyone wont be on top of eachother
PS - Each one of these places has an extensive wine list and an expert on staff for recommendations.

omg--some of the BEST steaks i've ever eaten...Pace's Steakhouse. they have a location on Rt. 347 in hauppauge and then a location in port jeff station i believe.
it's a little pricey, but the food is just out of this world.

I think burton and Doyle is great. a bit pricey but yummy. On eof my fav. steakhouses of all time is Angelo and Maxi's on Park Ave in the city. Now I got hungry

There's Rothmans in Syosset, Blackstone in Melville, (both are a bit pricey and the same owners) There's The Old Field Inn in Greenlawn (their right next to the train station and they are AWESOME!) I know there's more but I can't think of their names

Burton and Doyles in Great Neck on Northern BLVD. Delcious!!! Great drinks, great food and a very nice romantic atmosphere!! I give two thumbs up!!
