Stealing from Newlywed site- What was the longest...
it took some of your friends to send out wedding thankyou cards. We have friends that have been married 3 years who have yet to send out a thankyou card. They claim they do not have time.
Also, they have not ordered their pictures yet, though they have had their proofs forever.
Some people!!!!

Re: Stealing from Newlwedsite- What was the longest...
I went to a wedding August 18, 2001 and have not gotten a thank you.and the bride told me she just couldnt bother sending out thank you's. she said she had a lot going on and just didnt feel like sending them out.
So I am guessing I'll never see a thank you from her. And that really p*i*s*s*e*s me off because I took a great deal of time getting her the perfect card, a gift, attending all her showers and parties, the wedding, going to the church, the reception and I did not receive a thank you.

Im still 'waiting' for a thank you from a couple where I was a bridesmaid over 2 years ago! No BM gift, no thank you, no class.

I got a thankyou card one year and 9 months after the wedding date. I attended the girls baby shower in that time, and she gave birth to a boy before I saw the thank you card.Edited to add, I still haven't received a thank you for the baby gift.

On Monday I went to one of my BMs house for the day.... she was married NOVEMBER 1998She gave me the thank you while I was there because I have been harassing her for the past 4 years... she never sent them, but she carries them around for people like me!

That is SO UNBELIEVABLY RUDE!!! All of that!!!! That is horrible. I can't believe some people. If you can enjoy the present, you can write a thank you card.... anything over 3 months, is a little rude, imo.

I agree if you can accept the gift you can give a thank you note. Some people just dont deserve gifts

Re: Stealing from Newlywed site- What was the longest...
The couple is about to celebrate 5 yrs...we are still waiting. I asked her what happened to the TYCs and she laughs and say they are still at the photographer, paid for and all but she has not picked them up. I think it is so BAD and tasteless. But who am I to say what good taste is, I got 40 on the wedding etiquette quiz

I've found that waiting up to a year after the wedding for a thank you is normal...maybe I just know a lot of rude people!

Re: Stealing from Newlywed site- What was the longest...
I want to know what is so hard about sending a thank you. I know its a lot of writing, and its a lot of envelopes, but a small thank you goes a long way. When we announced our engagement, I had 2 aunts send us a check and I sent a thank you card immediatly out to them and a nice little personal note in the card thanking them for there gift.
Just do a few a day and in no time all your thank you's will be done. It just really bothers me when you dont receive a thank you

That section is not written in her book...I ask her about it all the time, she seems to be a bit uncomfortable, but I really don't think she cares to take the time to do them. I think people who do not send TY, should refuse presents too.
