Hi girls...

Well, on Tuesday, Steve was in a very bad accident... he was hit by a suburban while riding his bicycle. He was taken by helicopter to the hospital, and remained in the ICU for 2 days.... he needed surgery to close a large laceration on his stomach that left his ribs exposed, and needed stitches on both of his arms and face. His injuries were very severe, and he lost a LOT of blood... but luckily after two days in intensive care, he was brought to a regular room, and now he is home with me.

It really was the scariest thing that has ever happened to us... and the thought of losing the love of my life was just unbearable... especially only two months before becoming his wife! All I could do was bargain with god... and pray for his recover.... and although he's still very badly injured, he is doing much better and will be okay. In light of all of this, I started to thing about the things that are important.... and the things that arent. I felt so silly for worrying about stupid little details for our wedding... and I realize now all I want to do is be his wife, and love him and take care of him forever.

Please girls.... I know we all get very caught up in plannign the perfect wedding, but please take a step back and realize what really matters.

I'm including some pictures too... but they are very graphic. Please pray for a full recovery for my lovieeee!
(I'm not including the ones of his face, he feels embarrased!)

FIrst, a picture of his left arm ('road rash' as they call it... they could not use sutures because there was just no skin left, then there are some sutures in a lower spot)...... Second, a picture of his right arm (not as bad), and Third, a picture of his torso (needed 39 staples).

Your so right abouyt us getting caught up and forgetting about what's really important. So sorry you had to go through this but thank God your hunny is OK!! You wedding day will be even more precious to both of you b/c of this scare.

OMG! I'm so sorry! I'm glad to hear he's doing better and that he's home. I'm sure your love is the best medicine for him.

I wish him a very speedy recovery and offer many prayers to you both.

oh my god Hayley! i am so greatful that he is alive and well. i will pray for his speedy recovery. God works in mysterious ways and makes everything happen for a reason, trust that only good things will come out of this. be strong and best of luck!!

Oh how awful! I'm so glad that he's ok. Oh the things you must have been through this weekend. Thank goodness he's home and healing with you.

I'm so sorry that he's hurt but happy he's home where you should be.

I'm sure you've been giving him all the hugs you can so here's some for you.

I am so sorry for what he is going through and although nothing may seem right in terms of words, what you said regarding what is important and what is not was BEAUTIFUL... Thank God he is OK and that he has you to get through this... Prayers will be heading your way for the two of you

OMG I am so sorry it hapenned, but I am sooooooooooooooo happy to hear he is OK now. It will take time for him to recover, but what matters most is that he is doing fine and that you are together. Sending you best of my wishes

OMG!!!!!!! I am so sorry to hear about this. I am glad he is going to be OK, but to go through this must be very hard!! Hang in there, remeber all of us girls are hear to support you. He is lucky to be alive and my thoughts and prayers are with you two!!

So sorry for you guys! My prayers will be with you both! Recently FH was undergoing surgery and I was a wreck! It was through prayers and good wishes that he recuperated...Your FH will too! Much luck for a speedy recovery! Take care.
