STILL in the land of 'la'.

STILL in the land of 'la'.

Ok so I get a postcard in the mail from Priscilla of Boston that they are having a trunk show. Their store is less than a mile from my parents' house in Roslyn Heights so it is easy to get to for my mom. I made an appointment and then made another appointment for the Wedding Salon of Manhasset much later in the afternoon but on the same day. After I made the second appointment, I skipped down the hall at work like a total dork. Suddenly it is all becoming very real. Sure the ring and the proposal made it real and registering made it real, but for some reason the dress thing got to me. I hope that I can keep it together. My emotions are driving me crazy! Anyone else get a form of anxiety with any step they take for their wedding?

When I made my first vendor appointment, I called everyone I know. They all thought I was crazy - but for me, the entire idea of a wedding became real in that instant (and I had already been engaged for a year). Actually, I think I can recall skipping down the hall too !

Have fun with it!!! I can't wait to start dress shopping next month - I hope I feel like a princess...

I am actually pretty laid back about everything. I had a moment over STD's for some reason, but I have been perfectly calm about everything else. After ordering the dress I was (and still am) excited, but nothing is really stressing me out.
Check back in about six months and see what I say then!
