At my cousin's wedding someone stole the money in the card box!!!! Can you believe this?!!! I feel so bad for them! She was so upset!
How many of you will keep the money in the card box? or designate someone to take it out periodically and hold it safe?
I can't believe this could happen!!! This makes me scared to trust that the money will be in there at the end of the night!
Any words?

Omgggggggggggg so messed up. I don't know what to do about the card box. I don't think this is uncommon, I actually saw something on the news about this like a year ago. Me and FH went to a wedding about 2 years ago and we put our card which had cash in it in the money box and the bride and groom never got it. It's terrible and there has to be some solution to this problem. I feel soo bad for your cousin. She should ask if anyone gave a check...maybe the person who stole the cards will try to cash the check.

Wow, it's so sad to think that there are people out there that would do this!!! That really is terrible. Is it possible that the thief might have been caught on camera??
I'm not doing a card box (too lazy!) but I'm gonna get a purse or bag and give any envelopes to someone else to hold until I am able to lock them up in the suite.

That's something I'm really scared of too, which is why I think I'm going to do something a little closed.
Also, how did nobody realize someone was going through the box? Was the box not in plain sight???

IDK maybe it opens easily and it gets so busy in there so no one was thinking about it i guess. Plus her table was not in the center of the room but off to the right, and the dancefloor was to the left. We have no clue how this could happen!

That's so messed up, our hall and most we looked at had a safe to put money in so I'd probably make a run upstairs to put it their. But seriously I can't believe that

years ago we were at a wedding and my mom had her card on the table to give to them... she got up to get a drink and then it was gone!! luckily it was a check so she explained the situation and gave them another one. We think it was one of the waitstaff!
it's unbelieveable.... I was a bridal attendant at Raphael winery for years and it never would've even crossed my mind to do something like that- in fact guests gave me their gifts/cards to take care of for them all of the time!
I guess we will have to make ours big that doesn't open easily.... our table will also be the focal point of the room so we will have to put it next to our table.... someone would have to have some serious balls to try to take it!

Omg! That is sooo horrible! I feel so bad for her! That is why I don't want to invite people with a random guest! ugh that is awful! We were planning on keeping the gift box on the table next to us.

OMG I've heard of this happening before. MY friends brother had that happen and IW as at a dinner when a weddign was going on in the room next to us where that happened too. I cant believe someone could do that to the bride and groom. Its horrible I'm having a card box but FHs grandmother doesnt really dance so she has already told us she is the guard for teh card box so she is keeping an eye on it and my mom has already said she is planning on watching it too
