Stolen from '09 ~ Holiday Bonus?

How many of us can count on a holiday bonus?

My company doesn't give them, which surprised me the first year I worked there. I'm used to it now, and have found that most people I know don't get one.
We get a lot of perks throughout the year (not that it costs the company anything, but still) including free Broadway tickets, tickets to the Tony Awards, press events, theatre swag and stuff like that.
We also have a huge swanky holiday party each year, and my boss does give me something from herself. No 'official' bonus though.

My agency didn't give me a bonus last year, but I was only around for about a month. I have no idea if we'll get anything this year though, as they didn't give out raises due to budget cuts.

Whatever, it's better than my insult of a bonus at my last job.........they mailed each of a 5 POUND HERSHEY BAR!

I have a very small office staff of 10 and my boss gives all a bonus every year thankful!!

We usually get bonuses, but this year we haven’t gotten raises- so I am not expecting one

last year was the first time i ever got a bonus!!! and i've been here for over 6 years ..but we didnt get a raise...so i dont know

We get discounts to gym memberships, coupons to various restaurants in the area for breakfast/lunch but that's about it...no free tickets...nada....unless you count being able to sign up for working advantage or plumbenefits.com

oh yeah...i forgot to add...no such thing as holiday parties either!! never...i feel left out when i hear about some other people's company parties...

I froze it for a year then used it for my holiday baking the next year, lol.

I work in the finance industry -- I live/work for my year end bonus -- which I do not get until February...

We typically get a year-end bonus, but there are rumors around my office we won't be getting one this year. We already didn't get a raise for this year, so people are starting to get upset. Also, FH didn't get a raise or a bonus last/this year so I am hoping we both get one this year!!! What a su cky time to be planning a wedding

yep. we will.

and i get to pick the place to have the xmas party. last yr was mortons..and i saw the bill for that. i felt sooooo bad

gotta start looking at some other places loll

we will be getting year end bonuses. not sure how much but we will be getting something. we are also getting raises in the new year.

in September we also received incentive bonuses. we settled a really big case so we all received a small bonus from that.

& i am also very happy to say that i will receive a wedding bonus as well.

i know many people do not receive anything and i am extremely fortunate that i receive so many.

I work in finance and the bonuses is what its all about.

this is what I am counting on to pay all the rest of the balances on wedding stuff, with hopefully something left for the savings on apt buying next yr.

I get a holiday bonus, this is the first job I've ever had where I get one so its really nice!!! I'm trying not to expect it or count on it b/c w/the economy....you never know!!!

Last year i got like 500 but i was only here for 6 months... Cablevision does very well for themselves... i dont know if we will get them this year or not, but i hope so
