2. Did you get the ring you wanted? I didn't really have a style picked out but it is perfect! The stones are from my mother's and both his grandmother's engagement rings

3. Was the proposal a complete surprise? Yes and No..my mom kind of blew his cover but I had no idea it was coming when it did (it happened in August, I was thinking around the holidays)

We were just walking on the beach looking for beach glass like we normally do and he said 'I didn't bring you here for that, I brought you here to ask you a question', got down on one knee and he asked me to marry him

7. Where do you want to go for your honeymoon, and how soon after your wedding? We wanted to go to Egypt or Europe but instead we are going to Mexico and we're leaving the next day

See, previous question, lol...No, we got into a fight about a week before he had it planned and I told him that he didn't love me and he said if I didn't love you why am I going to propose to you on the cruise....ARRRGGH!

A bigger diamond could never hurt, lol...but I'm happy with what I have.

No because I knew it was coming.

Not really...he just got down on one knee and asked me to marry him on our cruise in the middle of the dining room after dessert.

Oh there's soooo many places I would have liked to go...but due to budget we are going to Jamaica. We leave 2 days after our wedding.

Our money is shared money...my ring and his ring just came out of the wedding fund...

Sort of...as affordable as possible...and yes..I think we'll go a bit over it, lol.

both.... well planned out to have it come out as an 'extra' course.... romantic in the sense of how he asked and the location

Def want to stop in Disney for a few days and then I think we are leaning towards Mexico... Playa de Carmen

we are using our $$ for both and since FFIL is the jeweler we hope to save some $$$ on each also

Sort of.... we never defined a specific # but we are picking the most reasonable prices

very cute and creative. there were roses everywhere and i always say to him 'forever?' and he answers with 'forever baby.' So during the proposal he spelt out 'forever baby?' on the bed! it was so sweet

we are leaving the morning after the wedding and spending 7 days in antigua

It was both. We went to my family's summer house just the two of us and he did it down at the lake as the sun was setting. He gave me jewelry as an anniversary gift earlier so it totally threw me off.

We haven't made a budget, just have an idea of the average costs of things and are taking it from there. Plus, help from our parents helps a lot in our decision making.

3. Was the proposal a complete surprise? Not at all...I'd been busting his chops for at least a year prior, taunting him that I knew where he was going to do it. He said that he'd change it then to psych me out, but I knew he wouldn't.

It was romantic because it was in our 'secret' bench in Avalon that we would deface, but not super creative because I knew he'd do it there. It's one of our special, go to spots though, so I'm glad he did it there. The mood was almost killed because we ran into a coworker of his, who didn't know what was going on, and went on to tell us in great detail about her cat drinking antifreeze and dying

It was romantic! We were in FL on vacation...I was taking a long time to get ready for dinner (as usual!) So FH went down to the restaurant to save our reservations. When I got there the hostess sat us in the most romantic seats by the window... then my roses came...then the champagne came...then came the ring and proposal!... (and the hostess already had our camera ready to take pictures!) Then, of course, the whole entire restaurant was clapping and coming over to congratulate us!!!

I would LOVE to go to Europe... LOL but that's going to be a little out of our price range. All well. When will depend on what FH finds out in December at his new post (military). soooo.... I'll be nervously awaiting!
