2 yrs & 10 months ( that was due to my long dragged out divorce)

Yes I did

Yes and no... I knew the ring he was going to get me, but I did not think he was going to do it that day!
4. Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? If so How big or small?
My ring is perfect, I love it !

I cried my eyes out

Yes the proposal was romantic, and when we told the kids, they were happy that we finally did it !
7. Where do you want to go for your honeymoon, and how soon after your wedding?
We would love to go to Aruba...and we are getting married on a Saturday.. so we might leave on Sunday or Monday.
8. Are you buying his wedding band for him?
We are paying for both of ours together!
9. Do you have a wedding budget? If so do you think you'll go over?
We hope not to go over our budget...but if we do... that is ok !!!!!!!

8 years, and 3 mths(we went to highschool together)

Yes.Way beyond my dreams. We never even discussed the ring or getting enaged. All he knew was that I hated yellow gold!

I thought it was going to happen next year. Never saw it coming.

Perfect for me!


5. Did you cry when he proposed?
I was sobbing!! We were in Croatia, where people don’t get proposed too, so all the couples around us thought we broke up b.c my FH was eating while I was crying. One couple said wow he dumped her pretty bad!

Both, I was not expecting it and just the way he did it was so us! It was in place that he thought his dad gave his mom the ring. Next day we found out the resturant closed down and it wasnt even in the same town!

7. Where do you want to go for your honeymoon, and how soon after your wedding?
We are getting married in Nov 09, but we hope to go see the world cup in South Africa in 2010. If not then we will travel through Europe in 2010 during the summer.

Well my money is his by that time. Does that matter?

Nope. I love my ring the way it is! It's a princess cut 2.0 carats with 0.75 diamonds on the side.

No....I was laughing at first! I thought he was joking! but then after he proposed I cry!

Yes the proposal was romantic......He proposed to me at my graduation party.....My family and friends were there. It was a complete shock! Never expected!

We would love to go on a cruise and see different islands.........Right after our wedding.

Yes I am.........I am buying his wedding band.

We have a wedding budget but by now, we went completely over our budget

Absolutely! BUT he keeps saying he wants to get me a bigger stone - I couldn't care less!

Not entirely... I know him so well, there was no hiding from me the fact that he was acting weird!

We want to go to Cancun and do NOTHING! Hoping to go right after the wedding, but if we can't then maybe a few months after.

We already pool our money together, so our bands will be OUR purchase.

We started out with a lower budget but with a window - we are nearing that cap

Uhm. Kinda. I knew he was going to propose, I just didn't know when.

Haha. No.

Uhm. Not really. I kinda put the kibosh on all of his plans. We went to dinner at the Country House in Stony Brook and he had this huge elaborate plan to put the ring in the dessert but I got drunk on 2 glasses of wine. So, he had to take me home. He wound up proposing to me in the car. I remember asking him if he was sure if he wanted to marry me. LOL. It was very sweet though.

7. Where do you want to go for your honeymoon, and how soon after your wedding?
We are going to a B&B/Spa in Provincetown, Cape Cod. We're leaving 3 days after the wedding.

It's coming out of the joint acct.

Not really. I thought we would have had a budget in the beginning but it's just not realistic.
