yea, were were together since we were 18... and went to different colleges... it's been almost 9 yrs

No, but I think a lot of it has to do with our timing. We were friends all through college, but didn't start dating until a few years after graduation when we were settled in our jobs and who we were (at least in my case). I think if we started dating in college we would have broken up a few times because I was constantly changing. I can't say I was the most mature, and would NEVER have been ready to settle down.

We broke up like twice the first 2 years we dated, but only for like 1-2 weeks.
The last time we broke up it was for like 3 months, and that was torture!!! A little over a year later he proposed
We've been together almost 5 yrs now
That last breakup made a huge difference, we are very strong now.
