Re: Stolen ideas

If it wasn't for this site I wouldn't have been able to find a lot of great ideas and stuff.
I found my cake box from Lillian Vernon this way and so many other priceless ideas!

Re: Stolen ideas

For all of those who stole the bouquet crystals idea... Do you have to buy them yourself and give them to the florist or do they usually have them already ?? thanks

Re: Stolen ideas

It depends, one florist told me they have them...LA blossoms and they were my cheapest quote...but it might be cheaper to buy the crsytals and make them yourselves, the florist will add them in..

Re: Stolen ideas

I am 'stealing' some of Jennbaby's ideas, two I can think of are:
1. a picture of her bo-k on the rolls royce, I just like how it looked
2. her program basket.

Actually I had the same idea but I saw a pic of hers and I showed it to my sister so she could see how I wanted mine to look like (well similar to).

I asked Jenn how she did her so I can't say I am out and out stealing, just borrowing.

I asked a few girls where they got ideas or things and some I probably have incorporated a bit but I don't remember exactly what.

But I say 'thank you' to everyone who has given advice - all of it is appreciated!
Mary

Re: Stolen ideas

gmnst15,

I bought them at patchogue floral fantasyland. They were like $3. Very cheap, but they have the whole in the middle of them so you can put the wire through. I am trying to find clear wire to put through them though. I have only found silver so far.

Re: Stolen ideas

I have gotten these ideas from the wonderful girls of LIW:
- using seating card frames
- making menus
- cry packets
- perforated computerized seating cards

Lisa,

Where would you suggest I go and get seating card frames? How big are yours? I was thinking 5x7 frames?

I am also going to make menus. Will also use frames.

And perforated computerized seating cards? I have software that might work with that. Where did you get those?

Do you mind me 'stealing' those ideas?

Re: Stolen ideas

I brought gold seating card frames from Oriental Trading. I went on their site to find the pic but it is not there. They must be sold out of them right now.

I am putting a menu on each plate. I am using vellum and gold cardstock to make them. When they are complete I will post a pic.

I can not remember the company because I brought them so long ago.

Of course, you can steal the ideas
