I love the look of strapless dresses and I'm getting married in August. My MOH is a little hesitant because she heard they're always falling down and a pain to deal with. We havent ordered yet but we're getting Bill Levkoff #310. Has anyone had that problem?
as long as it fits properly, you shouldnt have a problem at all.

Re: Strapless Bridesmaid Dresses
My MOH was dead set against strapless...she walked past a dress and was like this is it!!! She loves it, and as long as the dress is fitted properly no one will fall out!!!
it really depends on your seemstress if they do a great job on alterations you shouldn't have a problem

Re: Strapless Bridesmaid Dresses
I prefer strapless but my girls are small boobied and said they felt more comfortable with a strap. I didn't want them to feel self-conscious all night so we went with BL 555 (similar to your dress but with a spaghetti strap).
Maybe the seamstress could add a strap to her dress? If it's altered properly she shouldn't have a problem though.
Edit: Since she's your MOH it wouldn't look totally weird for her dress to be slightly different. Maybe her dress could be something similar with a strap?

As long as you're wearing a good bra and it's altered to fit you properly..it's not a problem.
I myself was once against the strapless..and now it's my favorite!!

Re: Strapless Bridesmaid Dresses
If she's worried about the strapless dress falling down, just make sure she gets a really good super-duper bra, and when she's getting fitted, tell her to express her concerns to the seamstress. This way the seamstress pays extra attention to that area and makes it snug for her.
Also, one of my friends gets cups sewn into the dress in lieu of a bra. So maybe that might help too.

my MOH had the same concerns, she's not very big up top so I think she has some insecurities about the strapless look too. But my dress came w/optional straps and to be honest I can't please everyone, as much as I wanted to its too crazy to pick a BM dress as it is. So I say it will look gorgeous wear a substantial bra and the 'magic' tape!

Re: Strapless Bridesmaid Dresses
as long as its designed properly they arent bad. However if your girls are very developed they will be spending 90% of the day lifting the dresses, regardless of the way they designed. i'd take that into consideration too

They will be fine! The majority of girls go w/ strapless.
I even think they sew in spaghetti straps that you can use when dancing around at the reception and not worry about anything falling out

Re: Strapless Bridesmaid Dresses
I've been in tons of wedding with strapless dresses and never had that problem (( and i'm pretty small up top )). Once the dress is fitting, it won't be going anywhere....unless it's too big but the seamstress will take care of that.
Don't worry.

I don't think you will have a problem. My BM's dresses are strapless too and some of the girls were concerned about that issue and with the bra falling down- so they are getting their strapless sewn in. That solves both problems because it will keep it more snug on top and hopefully prevent anything from falling down.
