strapless regret...HELP

Original post by stargazerlily

SO having never worn a strapless anything before...i get this brilliant idea to get a strapless wedding (because I fell in love with it). So to get used to the feeling I just chose a strapless engagement dress.

SO the reason I don't wear strapless is because I don't feel it flatters my body. I have what I think are very noticable rolls under my arms.

SO I asked my FH to take a pic in the dress and it came out awful and now I am freaking out that I made a huge mistake. I am putting pics of what I am talking about in my album....please respond and tell me if I should rethink strapless, or advice to help.

Clothes should flatter you, and I'm not sure I made good choices.

You look great. You have a great back and the strapless shows that off. Don't change a thing!

I love your wedding dress and it looks REALLY good on you. I dont see the 'rolls'

I think your engagement dress needs to be pulled up a bit. Try that, take a pic and then post to tell us if you still feel the same way.

I think you look great! Your engagement dress is beautiful and your wedding gown is absolutely gorgeous! It looks great on you, and I don't notice anything wrong with your arms.

Awww.. I have the underarm thing too.. it's genetic, nothing to do with how you work out. If you are anything like me, you look for it to see if it shows when you try something on... I think you might be looking a little too hard though because I really don't see it at all in your wedding dress!!! I promise! You truely do look absolutely amazing! I wouldn't even think twice about it!!! Your FH won't be able to keep his hands off of you!!!!

i think the e-dress might be too low and too tight - i am being honest and i see what you are talking about - but you are by no means fat or anything like that - its just that the top is not sitting right - i get that sometimes when i am wearing something strapless that is too tight across the top - or like elastic on the top.......

on the other hand your wedding dress is perfect and DOES NOT give you that look at all and is very flattering.....so you have NO NEED to worry AT ALL.....your wedding dress is

i dont like the cut of the top of the e-dress.... i totally see what you mean... but the wedding dress looks absolutely gorgeous! maybe bc its higher up on your chest

You look beautiful in both. You have nothing to worry about. By the way where did you get the engagement dress, I LOVE IT!! I am looking for something just like that for my engagement party. Like I said you don't need to worry you look great in both.

okay # 1 - you look GREAT in those dresses.. however, I totally know what you are talking about because I have the same THING (its in both of our heads i think) around my arms ..not even arms but just that weird spot. I am 5'6 and weigh 110LBS and for some reason still have all this excess something around my arm pit upper boob region (LOL sorry but what else is it?)

but here is a solution....

ARM/SHOULDER work outs

You will get so much definity under your arms and your shoulders will perk up, taking away from the boobage area (not reduced cleavage) .... you DO NOT NEED to work out, but i'm telling you that it will help with that situation.. FM Me if you want to talk more about it :)

Seriously though, B E A U T I F U L dress and you look great in it!!!!!

You look great in both dresses especially the wedding gown. It fits you flawlessly.
The engagement dress seems to be fitting a little to low and perhaps is a bit too tight or would fit better pulled up a bit.
The strapless wedding gown sits higher and looser on the bust and looks absolutely stunning... no rolls with that gown!! honestly, you don't need a bolero or sleeves.

If you want to tone up your chest area.. just get some weights and do biceps, triceps and chest and back exercises. I just lost 2 inches from under my chest and back and am seeing dimension in my arms and shoulders (after 3 months!). I work out in a gym on equipment, but you can do the same w/ some weights at home.

I think you look great in the dress but if you really are uncomfortable what about adding cap sleeves or wearing a bolero.

you look great in strapless!

the engagment dress is too tight at the top, and a lil too low.

Your wedding dress will be altered to perfection. Make sure you tell your seamstress you concern, and it will def be altered to fit you perfect.

I think your wedding dress looks gorgeous on you. . I think the other dress looks good but not as good - the cut on the engagement dress is VERY different (lower, tighter) and not as flattering (I still think you look good don't get me wrong) but the wedding dress looks sooo much better and you don't notice anything but goodness. . so enjoy - you made the right choice don't worry. .

It really doesn't look that bad, that's how strapless dresses always look.

I think the reason you think the dress looks that way is because it seems really tight at the top and you're not wearing the right bra for support. When you get your dress altered it won't be that tight and you will find the right bra for you as well.

And if you're still worried, get a bolero. I was worried about that as well so I got one just in case. But in the end, I didn't really have any issues, so I worried for nothing!
