Stream of Conciousness... (join in!)

Original post by MonkeyLuv

This is a writing exercise we used to do in high school. A word (or phrase) is given and everyone is to write for 2 minutes a stream-of-conciousness response to that word.

Let's make it a little more diverse and at the end of each post think of a new word or phrase.

I'll start...

Long Island
it's the biggest lie around because the entire island isn't considered part of it (Queens and Brooklyn). There's a weird culture here of affluence right next to poverty, it's like Victoria Gotti buying a Fish Fillet at McDonald's at the same time that homeless guy who screams a lot is buying a McGriddle. It's like a paradox only boring, predictable and consumer-driven.

the next word is WEDDINGS

Fishies

Fishes i find to be quite boring. I had them as a kid and it was a pain in the butt to clean the tank..We used to drop them in the toilet bowl when they died. My Dh wants a fish tank now and i a trying to avoid the subject and focus our attention on HOUSES

Yup! I thought that was such a funny, and insightful line

Peanuts

Peanuts are salty, crunchy ... though sometimes they are unsalted, and my favorite honey roasted! Peanuts on there own are fine, I'm not crazy about them mixed in with other nuts and I certain do NOT like the crappy nuts they sell at baseball games where you actually have to remove the nut out of the shells and make a stinking mess all over the seats , pieces of shell flying everywhere.. but i could live every day of my life without a peanut and would much prefer peanut butter, since there is nothing more desirable than peanut butter , fresh out of the jar.. as long as its creamy and not chunky of course

Houses

Houses are wonderful to dream about and get excited about as you enter a contract, but are a royal pain in the arse when you finally acquire one and your air conditioning goes out, or your pipe bursts, or, like my dad, your sewage pipe bursts all over your basement floor (ICK!). The worst part of homeownership is being so house-poor that you can't furnish it the way that you envisioned when you first saw the house

houses are great, is where we live if we own one. that is why I want one because i want something to call my own. I need to move thought because there is no way that I could ever afford anything here in NY.

new york

NY is the only place i can ever really see myself living...It has everything you would ever want. My friend moved from NY to Florida when i was 13 and that made me sad but we are still friends to this day....

Water:

A necessary beverage that we need. It has no calories, no fat, no taste, but its absolutely necessary for our bodies. It flushes out the impurities. I do like though the carbonated waters..the flavored ones like Poland Spring or Canada Dry. Water is plentiful in the world but it can be polluted by people who don't take care of it and dump chemicals in it.

I like chocolate, but not nearly as much as other people. I'm more of a fried food kind of girl. I would totally give up chocolate if it meant I could eat all the french fries and fried chicken that I want. I don't like chocolate ice cream or cake (or any cake for that matter), but I love fudge and brownies, and chocolate chips. I like chocolate that has stuff in it, like peanuts or almonds, but not plain chocolate.

Kisses:

There are two kinds and they are both great. The chocolately kind and the initimate kind.
Like the ones you get from your DH or FH or FW or DW. They are great and make you feel really good. I love them. They make you feel happy and loved. They are enjoyable.

center of the universe and everyone init thinks he is the center of the universe too. What does that amount to but a gaggle of universes all crammed into one universe... or is it a weird titl-a-whirl of revolutions and revolving people with everything constantly shifting from focus to focus. The hotdog vendor, no, the artist, no the lady walking her dog, no the woman with the unbrella, no the guy who just tripped trying to gracefully jump the curb. That's why people pay 1700 a month for a closet in this town. No place like it.

Chocolate

Chocolate is heavenly, nearly orgasmic, the perfect , most delectable taste in the world that has a nearly hypnotic affect on me.. sweet, creamy, words cannot describe the cornicopia of tastes that encompass a truly great piece of chocolate.. There is nothing else in the world that will satisfy my fickel taste buds when the cravings for choclate take over.. chocolate comes in so many variety and can be used in so many different ways, its truly a diverse product and immensely satisfying and pleasing... my favorite is chocolate and peanut butter combined, and i love bittersweet and dark chocolate, though any chocolate variety will do... brownies, chocolate mousse, candy, cookies, nearly all the ways that chocolate can be incorporated into so many tasty, delightful treats is a sight to behold ... and yet my husband HATES chocolate, which makes me questions his sanity sometimes!!

Those jerks who say one thing but mean another. They don't practice what they preach. They are phony and rude and fake people. Not very nice at all.

the earth that we live in is a fragile place. we need to take better care of it or else. love the earth in which you live because who knows if it will still exist.

Kisses are best when they are with someone who gives you little butterflies in your tummy, and when they are slow, soft, and not too wet. I once dated this guy who I really liked, until one day, when we were kissing, and a stream of disgusting saliva dropped into my mouth. I broke up with him 5 minutes later.

coffee is the gratest beverage that has ever been made. I'm proud to say that my country's coffee is one of the best in the world. so exquisite just like a pair of nice diamond earrings. What I would do for a great cup of coffee.

Coffee-

I wasn't a coffee drinker until junior year of college. I mean, I always loved coffee ice cream, but never drank it. Then I came back to school to start my Spring semester and there was this new coffee shop, Burlaps Gourmet, in the dining hall. So I bought a mocha and an Oreo muffin and the addiction began.

I used so many meal points buying Burlaps coffee that I actually had to justify my iced mocha as a meal one day....

Coffee

In college I wrote an ad. campaign for coffee featuring a drunken frat boy waking up in bed next to a dog...The last frame said 'XYZ coffee...You won't regret waking up with us...' I don't like coffee, never liked the taste....
