Re: STRESS/CHANGE--mini poll

i lost my job of 2.5 years 4 days after coming back from my hm(laid off, cut backs). got a job 4 weeks later, then 5 months later laid o0ff for same reason. i was out of work for 12 weeks. my grandfather had knee surgery and the day he was gonna come home, grandma had a heart attack.

everything else is a blur. 9/27/03 is our 1 year anniversary, hopefully year 2 will be better!

Re: STRESS/CHANGE--mini poll

My parents and family, every little thing my parents do drives me 'Crazy'.

Then I feel guilty because they have both been hospitalized due to chroonice illness in the past year. I wish I could be more understanding about their craziness and just enjpy them while I still have them around.

Re: STRESS/CHANGE--mini poll

When we got engaged, my mom was in the hospital and very ill. My DH and I had been together for over 6 years and our parents (especially our moms) were always asking when were we gonna get married (we'd also been living together for about 4 years). So, DH finally had a ring and, although I don't think was the whole reason why he asked me when he did, I think he was hoping this would be the thing that would be a motivator for my mom to get better. It was really hard to try and start planning anything really until my mom could help, so, although we looked at some places and I looked at lots of dresses, I really didn't want to do anything without her. When she passed away about 6 months later, I just couldn't even imagine trying to do it without her. Finally about a year later we booked a place and really got into planning. but, it was never as much fun as I had always imagined it would be. Other than that, the most stressful part for me was that we always procrastinate - no matter how much we say we won't.
For me, being married has really been wonderful - not all that much different than before really, except now it's 'official' in the eyes of everyone else.
