Stressed about choosing photo/video
So FH and I met with two different photo/video people- complete wedding packages and jaylim. We want to make a decision soon, but we just are not agreeing on who to pick. Jaylim is $4000 for two photographers and one videographer for ten hours. CWP is $2000 for one photographer & one videographer for 8 hours, and dj for 4 hours. I like the look of Jaylims better (CWP has really nice pics, but their video is ok) but FH does not like Jaylims price (we would end up paying about $3000 more because we would also need to find a dj).I have no idea what to do. Has anyone else had differing views with their FH? Fh said I could make a decision but that either way one of us would be unhappy.
This has been bothering me for two days. I don't want to make FH upset since we could save $3000 (which is huge) but on the other hand, I don't want to regret not choosing the photographer I really want.
I thought picking photo and video would be easy, but it's stressing me out so much. =\

Stressed about choosing photo/video
What about if you meet with some other options? Who knows you may both find you love a whole different photographer/videographer and dj all together.Personally we both fell in love with our photographer (Gil at Fade to Black) and dj (after hours) and they both worked with us on budget...
I hear great things and my sister used Tommy Tunes and from what I remember they were reasonable with price
Keep us updated

I agree, meet with someone else and find someone you both agree on. We are using Lighthouse for photo. We had also met with Jaylim but just didn't really click with them and Lighthouse ended up being cheaper anyway. For video we are using Capture the Moment, their prices are very reasonable for photo and video, and I really like their work. Check them out, they may be a happy medium for you two!

Stressed about choosing photo/video
We paid 3,000 for photo, under 2,000 for video and 3,450 for dj. I think it also depends on the quality you are looking for.

I have dj and mc quote which is under 2k I can send you if you wantI do feel your pain though we met w Jaylim and studio 27 and liked them both! We were a little more impressed with studio 27 but their price is much higher. So we are torn and trying to negotiate
Good luck!

Trust I understand how you are feeling. FH and I went through the same thing when choosing a videographer and photographer. We went with lighthouse photography and videographer. I am going to send you their quote and they work with you in regards to packages and what you may want to omit from them. Easier said than done but try to take it easy. You and your FH will find the happy medium. Trust me!

Stressed about choosing photo/video
Thank you for the advice ladies. We will try to look at a few more photographers. The only thing that worries me is jaylim left a message on FH phone saying they have another couple looking to book our day but wanted to give us first dibs since we saw them first. Ah

Don't feel pressured. If it's not meant to be, then it's not meant to be and you'll find someone else. You don't want to book because they're pressuring you and then regret that you spent more than you wanted to.

We made our decision and booked with Complete Wedding Packages! The owners were so nice and showed us updated work which put me to ease! So happy to have this decision made!

Congrats on choosing! Honestly, I think that's a trick that jaylim plays- we got an e-mail soon after saying another couple had inquired about our day also!!
