stressing about an officiant!

pastor april is booked for my ceremony date and time! she recommended rev deb, who i just reached out to.

i have this completely insane fear of having a horrible officiant, a creepy officiant, or an officiant who simply doesn't show up.

HALP!

stressing about an officiant! - Long Island Weddings

I had the same problem. April was booked too. But, we just met Deb at her office on Sunday and she was awesome. If you like pastor April, I'm sure you will like her too. They have the same 'vibe.' She is willing to customize anything you want and is very down to earth. You should def set up an appointment!

We are using Rev. Tracy Adamo. She has been great so far. She is currently working on our ceremony and I should get it in a few days.

heard nothing but good things about her, but if she's not available, try Rev. Nick. He was wonderful.

FI and I are going with Keith from NY Marriages. We clicked with him right away, we didn't even bother meeting with anyone else. You should definitely see if he's available on your date!

How much are officiants usually? $300-$500? Also, how far in advance do you think we should start meeting them? I dont want to get stuck with someone I dont care for either!!

Unless your FH's friend is an ordained minister with a congregation, an online ordination is not legal in Nassau/Suffolk. We asked FH's friend to do it for us, and we found out after the fact that he can't legally marry us. In NYC and other NY counties, it's legal, but not in Westchester, Nassau or Suffolk.

We booked Pastor April to do the legalities, but FH's friend will be a big part of our ceremony. She's working with FH's friend to give us a seamless ceremony :).
