Okay so my FH was in Atlantic City this past weekend for his friends bachelor party. And the last stop they made was to a strip club. Now there's nothing i can do about it. It was his friends bachelor party and i certainly don't expect my FH to sit anything out. But i had a few thoughts on the topic...
-lots of people say that it's their last chance to see some boobs or naked bodies. Now correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't the guys think of this before they put the damn ring on your finger? I mean when you give the girl a ring... it sort of means that she's it, doesn't it? And that she's the last person you're ever going to sleep with? So if you want to see more boobs or a*ses... shouldn't you wait to give her the ring or at least visit the strip club before you propose to get it out of your system? I mean how romantic is it that your FH has to go to a strip club right before he marries you? Wow that says romance to me!!!
-Okay so say your FH is at a bar and him and a group of people leave. Then he realizes he has to pee and this girl in the group says oh i'm right around the corner, you can use my bathroom (i know its far fetched, but keep with me). When your FH comes out of the bathroom, she all of a sudden comes out of the room naked.... shouldn't your FH feel awkward and that he shouldn't be seeing this, much less be there? That's its very inappropriate? So why is it okay to see someone naked as long as you PAY for it?
I know i'm rambling and all, but it just aggravates me. I mean just because some people say it's acceptable to pay to see naked women, doesn't mean that it's okay. If you're single, that's one thing. But especially when you're engaged... how is it appropriate or acceptable to see other naked women!?!?!?! My FH definitely wouldn't like me showing my goods to other people, so why would it be okay for him to see someone else's goods?

No one handed me my ***, you know sometimes we put our foot in our mouths and we get called on it, no biggie. You are acting like a b!tch now and it is unnecessary. Go bother someone else, maybe your FH. I'm sure he loves listening to you ***** all day, poor guy
Poor guy is right.
And you know... looking back... while Sunrise is running her mouth now... she offered absolutely NOTHING in this thread. She didn't even first offer her opinion on the topic.
Her first post in this thread was to call me an a$$ and try to get under my skin.
And she couldn't even get that right. Talk about a loose cannon.
Like you said.... poor guy.
Come on DJ ya know you are having fun.

won't you all be sad when you realize that when a thread gets deleted (as this one will) you lose the posts you make on it - so your post count drops.....
ron does that so that people stick to responding to relevant 'non-drama' threads.....he's a smart guy!
and you really need to stop attacking men for posting on the boards - ridiculous!

LOL you lose your posts? Hell I didn't even know that.
Looks like the UPS driver might be returning some t-shirts back to the LIW office.

Trying to put the drama aside...
Everyone is going to have a different view on what is comfortable and acceptable to themselves as individuals and within their own relationship. There is no 'right' or 'wrong' way to feel...to each his own.
If a fiance/wife or husband/significant other is not comfortable with strippers or strip clubs, then they should express that to their mate in a way that is productive and respectful.
That person's mate should respect their feelings on the matter, even if they don't necessarily agree.
Both sides should be willing to communicate and compromise....two very important aspects within any relationship.
My personal feelings are that I have no problem with strip clubs, both 'high end' ones like Scores and the local hole-in-the-wall places. I have been to both kinds, with friends and with my FH. I know people who have worked at strip clubs, as dancers and as staff, so I am very familiar with the whole scene and what goes on. I am also ok with strippers at private parties, within certain boundries. Consequently, he feels the same way about me going to a male strip club or being at a private party with a male stripper. Basically, looking is ok, lap dances are ok, nothing physical that would constitue cheating.
My FH and I have discussed our personal feelings and we respect each other's feelings. We figured out what worked for us, where neither one of us is going to feel disrespected. That's the best advice I can give to anyone, regardless of on which side of the fence your opinion lies.

FH has told me about the Happy Ending. I don't believe that all guys have gotten one though. In my mind that's just like going to a prostitute. Again, this comes down to trust. I trust that my FH will not get a Happy Ending at his BP.
Isn't coming away with an erection the same as sexual stimulation in that way? (Not directed towards you, but to all). If your FH walks away with an erection he is paying someone to give him sexual stimulation/satisfaction. I'm sorry, but I think THAT is the most disgusting thing about it. Thankfully, I spoke with my partner before our engagement, and we both have the same views on it . I think it is disgusting to go to strip clubs, view porn, etc. Maybe its because we view sex and sexual stimulation as something to be shared between two people. Perhaps others minimize the importance of it, to where it is just a matter of acting on ones carnal instinct. The point is, no one will ever agree on this subject. It is upsetting to see a group of adults resort to name calling rather than voice their opinions respectfully and appropriately.

My last two cents on this...
Read the book Mars and Venus in the Bedroom... it's the best thing I did for ALL my relationships with men... some very good insights there.
JMO
I'm just a little confused by this. What does this book have to do with someone's beliefs??
*And just to say it because i'm not sure if it's been said... but for those of you girls who think that some of these strip clubs & bachelor parties are harmless... well then you're just being naive and/or your relationship with your FH might not be as honest as you think it is. I'm not saying all of you, just some. They're not harmless and some of you would be disgusted if you knew what actually went on at some of them!
If you read the book you might understand....
It also might help you understand why guys want to visit strip clubs in the first place, and NOT understanding why is the reason some women get more upset than others.

I guess I'm in the minority here. I have absolutely no problem with FH going to a strip club. In fact, I've gone to a few of them with him and his friends. It's really just harmless fun and if it makes him happy then who am I to complain. Plus, when he gets home he's always in the mood. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It doesnt bother me at all either. FH doesnt go to a strip club every day (that would be a bit much), but he has gone a couple of times over the last couple of years for bachelor parties. I ask him how it was and if he got any good lap dances. I think it is hysterical. He even met Jenna Jameson, the porn star, a couple months ago at his friends bachelor party and I was jealous. LOL.
I actually went to a strip club with one of my ex-boyfriends several years ago. I was in North Carolina for my cousins wedding and about 15 of us went to a strip club. My cousin bought my boyfriend at the time a lap dance that he got sitting on the couch right next to me!!!! I thought it was hysterical.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but noone should put anyone else down for the way they feel. If your fiancee or husband is going every day than maybe you should worry. But if he goes with his buddies to hang out a couple times a year, who cares. I have bigger things to worry about!

Re: strip clubs... vent
Once again, these girls do this as a job just like everyone else.
Strip club or private what does it matter? More things happen at private ones...yeah Ive heard this a million times. BUT if FH or anyone whose Bachelor party it is has the guts and ballz to do more then what is normal then they have truly crossed the line. But then again maybe you shouldnt be marrying this person.
Im not saying its an issue of trust-its many different issues all in 1. There needs to be a compromise somewhere no matter what the topic-you cant stand around and tell your FH or significant other what they can or cant do-simple as that. Everyone has their own thoughts and views on how they feel about things. Expressing your feelings and being ignored is one thing-that is NOT ok by any means. BUT to say you CANT DO THIS is not right. You may not like it b/c its another woman (ok) you may not like it b/c they spend too much money (ok) you may not like it b/c they should only want to see YOU naked (ok) BUT do not say that the girsl who think its ok and they are 'harmless' are naive b/c thats not fair. It is harmless-Ive been there and havent been there. If FH felt it was necessary to go and get a little more then a little rubbing then obviously he didnt want to spend the rest of his life with me!!!
To each his own, you dont have to like it but when your views on it are different you really shouldnt be demanding them to DO or NOT DO something just b/c you dont like it. WOuld you eat something you didnt like b/c FH said I feel like you should eat this? Or dont wear your seatbelt b/c I said so? Whats good for the goose aint always good for the gander (sp)

I'm anti-strip club as well. In MY opinion, its male immaturity.
Agreed!
Agreed. At least FH doesn't like them. He got dragged into one a few years ago and hated it.
