Strippers and Strip Clubs - your opinions

Original post by TheLadyJ

just wondering what the rest of you think of strip clubs and strippers for bachelor and bachelorette parties. Would you object if your FH went to a strip club with all his boys? Would you be upset if he got a lap dance?

I think when girls hire a stripper - it's usually cheezy and funny and most of the women are laughing and screaming. But I think for guys it's different.

Personally, I don't care. I think it's all in good fun. I don't consider it cheating or inappropriate on either end. I trust my guy wouldn't do anything that I would consider cheating - like paying for something 'extra'.

What do you think?

I'm not crazy about the idea of fh going to a strip club for bachelor parties but I dont feel I can tell him not to go. He's a good boy and doesnt like to waste money on stupid things so I feel I have nothing to worry about. I think he's rather get box seats to a Yankee game and hang out with his friends for his bachelor party than go to a strip club.

As for me, YUCK! I would never want to go to one for my bachelorette party!

i would never do the whole stripper/strip club thing...its not my thing...

and i would only condone my FH going to a strip club for his bachelor party, other than that...why pay for it, when you can get it at home

luckily, my FH decided he doesnt want strippers involved in his bachelor party and would rather go to a casino

Re: Strippers and Strip Clubs - your opinions

I'm not excited for him to be going, but it doesn't really bother me. It's kind of like a rite of passage, and I'm not worried at all that he would cheat on me. Also not in love with the idea of lap dances, but I'd put my foot down on 'going into the back room' (where the really sketchy stuff happens) which he told me he would never do anyway.

Good friends of ours are getting married 2 weeks before and she put her foot down and said NO STRIPPERS, NO WAY. He's also not allowed to go with FH and his friends to a strip club in vegas, and has to stay behind by himself. His fiance also made him take down his swimsuit model posters freshman year of college, and freaked when she found a playboy in their apt during grad school.

Overall, I trust FH 100% and while I'm not jumping for joy that they will be going to a strip club, it doesn't upset me and I'd never tell him he can't go. Hookers are a different story, but I know my FH and he'd never go for that.

/end-rant

P.S. I'm an artist and have taken lots of live figure drawing classes with tons of nude models. i know the atmosphere is different but i've seen my fare share

P.P.S. I told my girls no strippers for my bach party bc I think male strippers are gross and i dont really want female strippers either. my girls are tight on $$$ and i'd rather have the $$$ be put toward something else on our trip.

I think if its for a Bach party no big deal. Although i dont lovethe idea. As long as he isnt out of control! But if it was a ritual with the guys, NO that aint happenin! I dont think its something thats respectful to women or me & i dont feel my FH should be endorsing that type of fun with his friends when they go out randomly. Although I know FH thinks its a waste of money & actually thinks its kind of dumb.

But for women having strippers while yes most women its just hoo-haa ing i know some women that are way worse then men! AND IT AINT PRETTY GIRLS! lol

I worked in CVS during high school and developed pictures. Can I just tell you the SH*T I saw that would go on during bachelor parties???????? Definately not good!

Anyways, I personally don't appreciate some lady's rack in my fiance's face. I personally think it is not needed. I mean, would we go and have someone's junk in our face?

Honestly, if I hadn't seen those photos of what really goes on at these parties, I would have a different opinion. Well maybe. Some of these guys actually SLEEP with the strippers. I know I can trust my FH because he thinks strippers are gross and will most likely not have them... Unless if one of our pervert GM gets them- it would be more for them. LOL. But still, I just never understood it.

I've always thought 'I don't care where he works up his appetite, as long as he eats at home'.

Meaning - he can look at as many nekkid ladies as he likes as long as he comes home to me.

Funny thing is - I am totally OK with him going to strip clubs, and he has no desire to.

i believe looking is one thing (we all do it; we're not dead).... touchin is a complete other story... for me, thats cheating... and my FH doesnt like them either but bc its 'tradition' hes gotta do it for the guys so dumb

its funny this topic is on here bcuz i just had this talk with FH during our trip.
I personally dont mind when he goes to strip clubs. we go to strip clubs together and have a good time just drinking and watching. i personally am not into the hunkamania or male stripper thing.
as far as having a stripper come to a private party or hotel room for a bachelor party, that i'm not okay with. i've known about way too many things that actually happen at these things. and even tho i trust FH i dont think any guy that is getting married should put themselves in that situation.
i know a few girls that actually do this for a living and although there are rules about touching and things like that at strip clubs...MONEY TALKS and if u find the right person, you can pretty much pay for anything you want and most guys know this.

I have a friend who works at a strip club and I visit her. Sometimes FH is with me and honestly, I don't care when I am there because A- he doesn't even look at them and B- I know these girls there. But I agree with you on not liking those private stripper parties- those are the ones where things get out of hand. And yes, money talks and even in my friend's club, they do things for extra money.

I am actually not OK with it and neither is my FH. We are having a Jack & Jill Bachelor/Bachelorette so all the bp is going to go out together and have a fun filled night.

I dont mind strip clubs at all! I've offered to take him there....but he hates them.
I'm NOT a fan of them at bach parties b/c its like an excuse for things to be pushed a little further then they would normally.

I dont want any strippers at my b-party... I would rather have my GFs spend that money on themselves..... then a sweaty salami in my face.

Re: Strippers and Strip Clubs - your opinions

Heres my take on strip clubs, I trust my FH to go without me, If its for a b-day or a bach party, then i dont mind him going, i trust him enough that he wont do something. i think if they go on a regular basis with their friends then thats different, that i wont go for.
but here and there going, or going to a bach party that has strippers coming, i dont have a problem with that. men will be men and thats obviously what they like, and i wouldnt tell him no he cant go because i wouldnt like him to tell me no i couldnt go if i wanted to do something like that (well i have been to stripper parties before lol and he knew and trusted me)......i just let him know to not disrespect me and behave.
