That sounds beautiful. I never thought of that before. You can call some of the classical musicians. I am sure they can help you.

I've never heard of a strolling Violinist but how about a clellist? I do know of a very good one. She has been performing classical music for many, many years and has also performed many weddings. If you'd like her name and contact number, e-mail me at [email protected] and I'd be more than happy to share the info with you. Her rates are pretty resonable too. Good luck!

PS> Her name is Brantly.

I am using a company called sterling music for my ceremony and cocktail hour music.....I am using a harp, flute and violin trio ..and adding a pianist for the cocktail hour and losing the harp....Sterling has many musicians and you can choose what type of ensemple you like......even just violins like you mentioned.......check it out.they are reasonable compared to other classical companies......Hope this helps

I`ve seen one, but...

We saw a strolling violinist at a cocktail hr, and we didn`t like this particular one. He was acting very strange....it seems like it would be nice and romantic, but it wasn`t. And he played the same several songs over and over.
Soon after that wedding, we went to a restaurant that also had a strolling violinist. He played classical selections (whereas the guy at the wedding played other types of music)...anyway, we both figured out that we just don`t like people coming around to our tables while we are trying to socialize. Just my 2 cents!
