I ordered my dress last week and was at a family gathering this weekend and showed a pic to a couple of (MY) female relatives and FSIL. Of course, I wasn't showing FH. But for the rest of the night, these idiots kept making blatant remarks about my dress. All very positive, but talking about the material, the cut, the shape, the style. And of course I'm too polite to say SHUT THE **** UP. I mean, FH is right next to me, stop commenting on the dress!!
I guess I made the mistake of assuming people would be smart enough to look at the pic and talk to me about the dress, but once I was sitting next to FH, it's time to zip it!!

i honestly don't think i'm showing anyone my dress aside from my mom (obviously) and my MOHs. I just can't handle stuff like this!
They blab too! It's not even on purpose and they totally don't mean it, they just don't get it. It was my BM and MOH who were so chatty!
I just gotta take it with a grain of salt! It's not a huge deal in the end

Ughhh that's annoying. I can one up you though. My MIL took pictures of my dress and actually gave me copies!! I was like WTH?! LOL I cant risk DH seeing my dress. I locked them up in my safe but really who does that?! I told her she better not show DH. LOL

I'm not showing my dress to anyone other than my mom, grandmother, one aunt and my 3 BMs. FMIL doesn't want to see it and I won't show it to any men because I don't want this to happen. I think it is safe to assume that nobody is going to be as careful as you.

I didn't know you weren't supposed to show FH! I have it hanging in my room, so he sees it all the time. oops! No one told me, maybe your friends didn't know either? No one at David's Bridal told me not to show FH.
you can show FH if you'd like! it's just a tradition and gives an element of surprise that you have been waiting so long for this day and you get a nice picture of you FH seeing you the first time. my FH had no idea what to expect!
