Successful ebay stories...

I never sold or bought anything from ebay but I am thinking of selling some stuff. Wanted any feedback you ladies could give me..positive or negative..

Ive bought stuff on ebay (wedding stuff) and been happy.

FH sells computer techie stuff he doesnt use anymore, it's been smooth.. Ebay has this sorta of usage charge so he usually adds that into the shipping so he can cover those expenses.

That's all I know. Im still sorta new to it.

i'll start with the negative first this way i can end on a happy note.

auction reads i only ship on Mondays.
auction ended early thanks to buy it now, so it ended on a tuesday. I told the person monday it will be shipped. well on friday i got a nasty email telling me they wanted their money back.

perfectly brand new item sent with signature required person told me the item was never received and when it finally was i sold them a damaged item

i charge a standard shipping fee. it covers the cost of shipping and packing materials. the person told me i overcharged them then left me negative feedback.

positives
i received emails from people thanking me for the item. i received follow up emails from people telling me how great the item is or how its helped them.

smooth transactions make things feel like you really helped someone

I've only bought...it's been great so far. I found it very addicting when I first discovered it 5 years ago.

I've sold a lot of my older designer stuff, handbags, etc, plus I get a lot of stuff from a friend from Runway shows that I might get rid of on there... I have made a good amount of $$ getting rid of stuff I will never use or wear again, so I rec. it.

I made over $3k last year-I haven't sold since the wedding though. I got lazy.

I have had only good buying experiences...but I am very careful at looking at the sellers feedback...

I am just starting to sell...so the negatives I am finding is that people aren't bidding on my items :(

I have perfect feedback & I worked hard for it but if you have a good item, they will buy!

I buy and sell....I have 122 positive feedback already. I mostly hit garage sales, buy books from the library, buy bulk lots, and sell books, cd's, holiday items, etc...
