Suffolk Girls - Beauty Questions?
OK So I am SO not a girly girl, so I have NO idea where to go about these things. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated - preferably in Suffolk (near Smithtown)1) Nail Salon for Mani/Pedi
2) Tanning Place where the people will tell me whatever I need to know so I don't end up a lobster
3) Place for Facials
Thanks!

Re: Suffolk Girls - Beauty Questions?
ok, I can help with 2, maybe 3!May Nail, on Lawrence Ave (street on the right, just before Daffy's shopping ctr when headed east) is $14.99 for a mani/pedi, and they do a damn good job.
In the Daffy's shopping ctr, there's a tanning salon called BodyWorks. That's where I lost my tanning virginity
and they were really helpful. For facials, a lot of my friends go to T. Carlton's Spalon in St James. I've never had one, though.

The tanning place I go to in in the shopping center next to regal movie theater on portion road. THe woman that owns the place (rene) works there during the week and she is SO sweet and nice. She will tell you exactly which beds and how long and all that. She really takes time to make sure her customers are happy and safe etc.

Facials - I only get facials when I have a GC for one so I go all over.

Thanks! I am definitely gonna check them out - they are pretty close to me. OK and I have never gone tanning - do you wear light sunscreen? How does it work? I don't want to go in and be a total bonehead

No ask to talk to rene.. she will prob tell you to only go in for like 5 mintues the first time. I always use one of the lotions they have there so I dont go in te bed 'dry' for lack of a better word. You need to be moserized so your skin doesnt dry out. She is a blond woman with a sorta raspy voice.. super nice
