Suggestions for Nausea

I have really bad nausea... ALL THE TIME... in the morning, afternoon, evening even in the middle of the night. Last week i was vomiting at least once a day but it has just been nausea since friday. Does anyone have any suggestions of what may have helped them?

Ginger! I had ginger tea, ginger ale (flat), ginger snaps. Altoids make ginger candy.
You can also buy preggo-pops which are supposed to help.
I survived off a lot of saltines for a while!
Feel better!

MINTS!!! Lifesaver Pep-O-Mints were a lifesaver (no pun intended) for me.

Eating carbs and fruit and eating often were the only think that worked for me - until I one day I gagged on my bagel..then bagels were out.

I do not have any kids yet, I am currently TTC, but when we were on a cruise we were nauseous and we bought ginger pills on the ship. Ask your OB/Gyn if it is okay to take. They were pure ginger in capsule form. I think you can get them in the health food store or even a drug store it was ginger in a capsule, i think it was called Fisherman's friend. It worked like a charm.

Re: Suggestions for Nausea

I only had M/S with my second pregnancy and someone told me to eat, no matter how much I didnt want to. Eat something, anything you think you can get past your lips. It helped me alot. I really feel for you, hang in there, it will pass.

I used lemons in my water. I also tried gingerale and lots of crackers.

Agree with the lemons in water - it helps. Also, do small meals through out the day - that's the only that fends it off. My cure all for nausea (although previsouly it was only due to hangovers) is Jolly Ranchers - although I read the artificial colors can be bad for you but it's the only thing that works some days. Good luck. Also, talk to your dr. about your pre-natal - I think mine was contributing!

When my friend was preggo, her ob/gyn told her to eat potato chips and drink lemonade. It sounds gross but it really helped her out.
