My SO birthday is this Friday night, and I am looking for cool restaurant suggestions...does any place still have dancing? Or even just someplace nice, with a piano bar....he lives out in Wading River...but we can drive around a bit...any thoughts?

There are some really good places in West Babylon on Main Street. There is Don Ricardo's which is Mexican and the food is awesome and Gimmeli's Italian. GREAT!!! I don't know too many way out East! Have fun!

Desmonds is right in Wading River- it is inside the Inn at East Wind. The food is GREAT.
There is also the Cooperage, which is about 10 mins from Wading River.

I think there's a piano bar in Setauket, but I don't remember what it's called...I feel like it's Paula Jean's or something...
There's Blackwells right behind the East Wind...I don't think it has a piano, but it's lovely.

One place looks cute - Andrews by the Pond - which is on N. Country Rd across from the duck pond in WR (if you don't know where this is, i'm sure your SO does). It probably isn't as fancy as you are looking for, but it looks cute.
I also second the Cooperage.
Also there is the Sea Basin on Rte 25A (local route, not bypass) in Rocky Point that is very nice.

Paula Jeans is in E. Setuaket and I've heard from coworkers that it is really nice....they usually have live musicians most nights and they said the food is good as well as the atmostphere. It's on 25A.

that is right near my house... i have never been there, but it is always packed... some of my other favorites are Pasta Pasta in Pt Jeff, 3 Village Inn in Stony Brook, Paces in Pt Jeff, Blackwells in Wading River I heard was good... Georgios in Wading River also has yummy food... there is a small restaurant inside!
