I was thinking of doing something like this but then changed my mind.
you could put it in a metal tin...then put a ribbon or monogram on the outside of the tin.

We didn't do anything special. We had them in the regular thin CD jewel cases. However, the CDs were printed with custom damask labels with our names (pain stakingly printed and applied by me and my sister) so they were pretty enough as is.
