is anyone going this route? fh really doesn't want to wear a tuxedo, and i'm not overly fancy, so i'm not necessarily totally against a really nice suit instead of a tuxedo. what do you think? does anyone have pictures of a really good wedding suit?

Re: suits instead of tuxedos?
FH is considering buying his suit but still having the gms wear tuxes, just because its easy for them to rent rather than have them all buy matching suits. I still think its formal and elegant - but we will see how this idea goes over with our parents. They are already asking how its going to work . . .

That's what we're doing. We're not black-tie kinda people. It's a spring daytime wedding with a lot of outdoor capability - weather permitting. Suits are just more 'us'.

we are doing suits instead of tuxes. FH wouldbe more comfortable in a suit and it really doesn't matter to me what they wear.

Fh was in a wedding party that did that. It looked good, the only thing was a few guys didn't have black suit and had to buy them. A little more expensive than renting but at least they got to keep them. It's just a thought for your bp.
