What colors are you using??? I really like purple but I can't decide if it's to dark for summer.

i originally planned on dark dark navy, but honestly ive been leaning towards black lately with champagne

I am going gold with champagne/ivory accents. I think they are such classic and elegant colors.

I think you can use any color you want!! It doesn't matter that its summer, and I think purple would look great :)

As far as purple in the summer, I think it's fine (I think any color is fine for any season, I'm a 'rules were made to be broken' kinda gal)-- but if you're concerned about it being too dark, how about going with a violet?

I am using Midnight Blue, Silver, White and Black. My wedding is a strict Black Tie event and A friday evening.

I am having a Eggplant/Plum BM dresses, I am going to incorporate light pink and light green with flowers, I like pastel colors, but I think darker colors will be more flattering on my BMs

I guess I'm still technically Spring (1st week in June), but I consider June as a whole Summer.

My main color is red. I plan on having my BM's in red, I will have all red roses, my BM's will have a mix of red and white roses. GM's will have traditional black tuxes. And there might be some hints of silver around.

Purple is my favorite color so I think you can never go wrong with it..lol.. My wedding is in July and my colors are Black and White with touches of purple

Purple is one of those colors that u can use year round imo depending on the shade.

My bf is using purple in august and she's going for a lighter purple.
I'm also using purple for a sept wedding and going for a darker more jewel toned color.

haha - I am doing the same too! Not sure if I am going to incorporate light pink or light color though for the flowers, but I am going to be adding light green and white to the flowers too. I LOVE the dark shade of purple for the BM dresses - plus it will look so good on my BMs

For flowers I was thinking light pink and green hydrangeas, white cali lilies and pale purple roses. . . . . Did you get your BM dresses?
I haven't looked yet, but I like some Bill Levkoff, and Jim Helm dresses.

edit: You are getting married on my Birthday, actually it will be my 30th B-day! Yikes!

I think whatever color you want will looke great! I'm going with a dark pinkish purple color BM dress ( i'm still searching for that exact color......) with orange, pinks and purple flowers.......
