Summer wedding

Summer wedding

This question is running fast through my head and i just want to ask.

For those of you who picked a summer wedding why did you pick that specific day?

FH and I always loved the summer...we hate the winter. Spring and fall, no one would come because we have lots of oot guest.

We picked it because it is going to be our 5 year anniversary, and we figured what cold be a better way to celebrate! Also now FH won't have to worry about remembering a new date!

I'm a teacher, so it was a no-brainer. We chose July 3rd cause the 4th is the holiday and it's on a Saturday, so people have off the 3rd to observe the holiday. That means everyone will have a nice looong weekend to celebrate with us!

I am a teacher so it was easy. Laso, FH loves the warm weather. We also are going to Italy on our HM and that is a good time to go. I would have wanted a winter wedding but didn't want a blizzard to hinder people from being there!

I wanted to be married in warm or luke warm weather. The actual date is just the date the RH had available.

Yeah us kinda our 7 year anniversary is in March but our wedding will be in July 25th so for us it will be a little easier just the months change.

YAYYY!!! I'm going to school to become a teacher as well, I guess it runs in our blood!!!

Between the both of us, we have 4 kids .... so we chose a summer wedding since school will be out and family can take care of them for us too !!!! WE NEED A BREAK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a teacher, I get the Summer off so we decided to go with that....as for the date- we kind of got stuck with our date b/c apparently many dates were already booked for JT.... uh huh

we only had two dates available which were the 18th and our date the 25th!!!!

Couldn't have said it any better!!! I have the best memory... Our Wedding Day is the first day we laid eyes on one another!! But August 9th is our ACTUAL anniversary when we had our first kiss...

We picked summer because we're both teachers. FH teaches summer school so we had to wait until that was over and leave enough time for the hm without missing any days of the new school year.

I picked summer b/c I pretty much have summers off from work and Aug 1st was a Saturday night.

We really wanted Aug 15 which is our 'dating' anniversary but due to our tight budget we went with Aug 16

Originally I wanted Sept (labor day weekend) but was told that the traffic would be awful for OOT, so we didn't want to push it further into the fall because then people's kids would be in school and also my fam has a lot of teachers, so we decided August. Also, I love summer weddings, and my parents got married in August so I am really excited about it!

We both prefer the summer and with OOT guests it would be easier. Also, when FH moved out of state a month after we met it was Aug. 7, 2005 we got engaged Aug. 22, 2007 so we're gettng married Aug. 15.. August just happens to be a significant month for us I guess. Also no major holidays close to that date.

We picked the day because my lucky number is 13 ....and we would have gone for a spring wedding but my mother has horrible hay fever and would have been swollen in all the pictures ... so june it is .. hahahah

we decided to do a summer wedding because we have a lot of children in our family -- that way its easier for them to be part of our wedding day.

We had a small window of time that we could choose from b/c of FHs work schedule- So we had to have the wedding and HM between late August and late Sept. We originally wanted the Sunday of Labor day weekend but it was booked so we went with our date b/c it was open.

we picked it becuase we live in MASS so our wedding will be a destination wedding in LI, NY.. when else to visit long island than in the summer?! also, i spent my summers on the island so it brings lots of memories and i couldnt resist.
