We're doing everything indoors. I love warm weather, but I don't want to be sweating or anyone to be uncomfortable. Plus, mosquitoes are my enemy.

If you're planning to do an outdoor wedding, I would definitely recommend renting a tent for your reception. The ceremony can be performed outdoors in a garden (if available). Your guests will definitely feel the cool breeze. Also, you can leave some paper fans for your guests if it gets warmer. I did an outdoor wedding and it was amazing. We didn't even feel the heat at all. We had so much fun with the activities we planned for our reception. Everyone just danced the night away. I wouldn't worry too much about the heat and sun. It gets cooler at nights during the summer unless it's 90+ weather. Just get a really great band/DJ/entertainment for your wedding and it'll be a hit!

Everything for me is inside with AC. That's very important. My church even has AC. My mom and FH are always hot and really can't deal. That is not a day I want my mom to be hot and sweaty. Only the pictures will be outside.

Ladies keep drinking water

Good question! Our ceremony is inside, cocktail hour is outside (but at 7 so I feel like it will cool off a little by then), and our reception is inside. I'm mainly nervous about pictures. Our pictures will be outside and I don't want to be all sweaty and shiny! I'll probably keep a handkerchief handy to blot if needed, and wipes if I feel like I need to refresh.

Uhhhhhh no idea since our ceremony is outside and our CH is outdoor/indoor...I'll just be drinking lots of water hehe.

Also I think we are going to wait around for a good deal on some bamboo fans to place on the seats at the ceremony...that way people can cool themselves off!

Re: Summer Wedding

I'm in denial that the day could even have a chance of being hot - what was I thinking having a summer wedding? I plan on carrying lots of those oil blotting papers for my face - you can deep fry off my oily face in the summer!

Re: Summer Wedding

The one bit of advice I would give is this...MAKE SURE YOUR LIMO IS COLD WHEN IT PICKS YOU UP!!! I was in a friends wedding end of July on a hot day and the limo arrived - we all were comfortable and looking great in her Mom's air conditioned house, got into the limo and it was warm...we sweated the 10 minute ride to the church and none of us recovered. Seriously. I'm talkiing sweat stains on the dress (and these were skinny girls!!) and my hair curled and was sweaty. It was the WORST! The church and reception were a/c and I think the day would have been fine if we didn't have the limo debacle.

I'm lucky b/c outdoor ceremony will be in the evening, with a some sea breeze....I hope lol

Then the cocktail hour will be on the patio, which by than will be dusk, than reception will be inside...
