We are getting married the Sunday before Memorial Day Weekend. We are sending STDs to give people plenty of advance warning of the date. Personally, I always enjoy a wedding on a holiday weekend.

A lot of people do that!! It's your day.. u pick whatever day you want! People who want to share that day with you will come!!

i enjoy holiday weekend weddings so much-- gives me something fun to do and in the past the weddings have been friends of my FH's so that means i didn't have to see my family that day!!!!!!
WOOHOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So think about it like that, you could be making so many people's day!!! LOL

i am getting married this Memorial day weekend on Sunday! All of my OOT guests are happy and coming to the wedding!! It's the local guests that are complaining!

I am so happy with the date we picked and as long as you send STD's and hotle info!! It should be fine. People will complain no matter what day you pick!!

Honestly, I woudn't! I think weddings on a holiday weekend are fun, and who cares anyway, hunny do it when YOU want it!!!

So I called to tell my mom that me and my FH were considering a Sun Eve on a holiday weekend and she pretty much said that she wouldn't come if we did that. I am so upset because the hall we were considering has such great prices and even though it was a holiday weekend they don't charge extra like other halls do. Now I don't know what to do.

You know the funniest thing is my FH and I are paying for everything ourselves. I am just so hurt that my mom would even say anything like that. I know that my mom is probably just throwing a tantrum, but it still stinks. This should be a happy time.

Moms can be that way sometimes if they don't get their way.. Do whats best for you guys....she'll deal with it
