Hey ladies. So Im just starting to look for halls and was wondering if anyone has been to a wedding or event at the Pavilion at Sunken Meadow or the Snapper Inn? Any comments good or bad? Basically we are looking for a very casual, low key place for about 125-150 people. So if you guys have any opinions or other suggestions let me know!! TIA

I went to the snapper inn once for a wedding.. I would say it more a restaurant style than like a 'reception ' site..

My sister got married at the Snapper, and and I have been to one other wedding there besides hers. I loved it there! She had it in June, and they have a big outside deck, which is tented, and it is separate from the restaurant. They are reasonably priced....right on the water, and casual enough. I would have gotten married there had my sister not married there! We looked at the sunken meadow pavilion...have you been there to see it? I thought it was perfect for us, because we wanted something casual and beachy, but when I got the price, I wasn't thrilled! It is plain, and nothing special, and I never thought it would have cost as much as it did. It is a great view, but also they charge extra for heat or a/c. FM me if you need more info!! Good luck!!

I haven't been to check out either yet, I live on the west coast, so Im hoping to get back to LI in July to actually look at some places. Thanks for the input! I will FM you for more details

I am having my eparty at the Snapper Inn in June in the Pavilion! I went in to look and just fell in love with it! It is very open and airy. You feel like you are outside but then you look up and there are these massive wrought iron chandeliers. It is just gorgeous. You really must see it in person to make a decision.

I went to a wedding at the Snapper and it was great. WE would have gotten married there but we live very close by and it would not have been special enough for us b/c we used to go drinking there every weekend. You should try The Miller Beach Surf Club.
