ok so i think my friend is thinking about an oct wedding rather than a may or june but now shes worried b/c the hall said they only have a 7:30pm cocktail hour for her for that date, which means it will be dark b4 the cocktail hour starts. Especially its on the water.what do u guys think? she loves the idea for an oct wedding but just worried about being so dark outside during cocktail hour? any of u guys getting married in oct during the evening?

If your concerned about the sunset times, there is actually a web site that tells you.....google sunset times, and you will find it

I am having my cocktail hr at 7p in october
It will be dark - but we are taking pictures in btw the ceremony and cocktail hr so we will have some light.
I don't mind it being dark - they have lights on outside - but the cocktail hr is mainly inside with some seating outside -- they will also have the fireplace on --my reception hall is not on the water either though.
So being nightime during my cocktail hr isn't that big of a deal for me
