I agree. I would definitely look into Brunches or Cocktail parties. I would try to stay in Jan-March as well bc December is actually growing in popularity and so the cost is rising.

Also look into Holidays such as July 4th, Mothers day, and some places even consider Super Bowl Sunday a holiday believe it or not

I'd try:

Swan Club
Riviera in Massapequa
The Sands at Lido Beach
The Coral House
Ariana Water Fall
The Sterling
The Manor East

and there is also a beautiful VFW in Seaford! I think on washington Ave. I'd check that out as well

I would say that if you do Jan-March during the day on a Sunday you can get those places for around 50pp with no site fees. They should include the cake, some include centerpieces as well and will throw things in.

I'm having my ceremony at my church. Did you like the wedding there? I'm so nervous because its not a big catering hall.

I went to a wedding here too and my only thing was the ceremony issue because everyone had to stand in the hallway after the ceremony for the breakdown haha but otherwise the food was good; it was a buffet and I didn't feel like the line was all that long at any point either.

You can do a wedding on a small budget... you just have to be creative.

brunch or a cocktail party

my friend is having a 'sweet treats' party where she is only having deserts. Her wedding is later in the evening and so it will work out nicely.

I am in the same boat my fh and I want to keep the venue price to around 10k or less. Island hills quoted us a good price we just weren't in love with the place we were like its ok and Ive been to weddings there is fine food is good but it's nothing wow.

Try the west bury manor. I got a great quote for Friday night in march but passed bc I fell in love with another place
