You have time. Halls will lie to you over the phone and tell you that they have someone coming in when they don't.
Second -- tell them you are from out of town and try and get some pricing over the phone -- that may rule out some of the places you want to look at.
June is a busy month during 'peek' wedding season. Having a day wedding will lower costs and may be easier to book then a night wedding.
Westbury Manor has a smaller room I believe the Inn at New Hyde Park has a smaller room as well
Also, put together a rough idea of a guest list so you know approximately how many people you plan on inviting -- this will help you decide what you can do as minimum. Next figure out how much can spend per person -- remember to add in service charge (usually 15-20% and tax). Having this information ready will make it a lot easier to narrow down halls that you really want to look at.

Re: Super Stressed
We got married at Chateau La Mer and it was FANTASTIC and right on the water. I'd call them and see if they're available. There's also a TON of other places to look besides those you've listed. You still have some time but your FH is CRAZY if he thinks everything will get done in 3 months! Boys!
I've been to the Snapper Inn and it's really nice and the water is right there BUT just to warn you, you may have wedding crashers at your cocktail hour. I've heard from more than a few people that everyone gets all dressed up and crashes the cocktail hours of weddings. It's apparently what they do for fun out in that area.
Good luck!

Thanks!!
Our wedding is on Saturday June 5, 2010 at 11am so we were looking to start the reception around 1pm for about 80 people (maybe less) and are looking to spend not more than $90pp.... We are getting married at the chuch I grew up going to and we can't change the date b/c that would set us back another month + (have to schedule it around the World Cup - no joke - and I can't forsee us being another month apart - it's too depressing)
Try the Fox Hollow - they are amazing!

We got engaged at the end of December and were married July 20...we booked our RH at the 6 1/2 month point. Do not worry, you will get your RH booked and have a wonderful wedding

Re: Super Stressed
You have time to find a place if you're flexible with dates. If not, you need to book soon. My FH works 7 days a week with 1 day off every other week. We would book 4-6 places in that one day and we preferred to look on weekends...most weddings are taking place so you see them in action. We were also offered actual food from cocktail hours and the event dinners. We dressed nice when we went to blend in with the crowds, so we wouldn't be an eyesore for someone's wedding. Some places we just walked into...no appt... simply b.c we were in the area.
Tip - Go to Wedding sites and services.com and print out a map of RHs and try to visit the ones in the same area on the same day. However, some places may keep you for longer than an hour when you visit. So start your day early.
But this site can also help you rule out things too. If you want a beach setting or a garden setting...etc. You wouldn't visit so and so. I found it helpful.

Re: Super Stressed
I hope you are able to find a hall in your price range and the minimum you are looking for. Like a pp said sometimes they tell you that they are booked when they really aren't. Good luck!

Re: Super Stressed
Larkfield Manor has 2 rooms and the second one would be perfect for 80 people. Because they have 2 rooms you might have luck that the smaller one will be available for you. and Sat afternoon I think is easier than Sat nite for availability. good luck.
