SUPERSTITIONS???

i don't know if anyone has ever heard of this one...but my mom is very strict about it and it has passed onto me:

NEVER leave your purse on the floor...EVER....because it means your luck is on the floor and bad luck will follow you.

if anyone has a purse or bag and puts it on the floor in our house, my mom freaks out and picks it up

Yes it is! And #7 is UNLUCKY to them...
Thats why I wasnt worried about our Friday the 13th wedding date!

yeah because you were talking about getting married 7-7-07 when u got engaged and you said the number 7 was bad luck! :o)

I don't step over cracks on the sidewalks & driveways, and also - on a eleveator, or train, I won't step on the crack.....

knock on wood is a big thing for me.. except the wood has always been my head.. 10 knocks always must be 10 knocks.. LOL

walking on cracks.. yeah only in certain situations

i have someothers just cant think of them

I have a ton if them and being from an off the boat Italian family it was almost inevitable that I would turn out this way lol

1. Get worried when a black cat crosses my path
2. Can't leave a hat or shoes on the table - Italian superstition
3. Can't leave my shoes at the foot of the bed when I go to sleep - yes another Italian superstition
4. Would never walk under a ladder
5. I'm very Into the whole God forbid and knock on wood thing
6. Always make wishes when the times reads 10:10, 11:11, 12:12 etc...
7. Never open an umbrella inside

I have more, but then u guys would really think I'm crazy lol

I have soo many too but the BIG one from my Off the Boat family is NEVER put new shoes on the table. My grandmother freaks out if that happens. I think she's rubbed off on me because if anyone does that I push them off the table as soon as I can.

Yup, this is a big one with the guineas... But i DEFINATLY put shoes on the table ALL the time... [shoes in BOXES of course...]

OMG! I do that too!! My Auntie told me that is because the money gets sucked out of the pocketbook! I am like a freak when people put their bags on the floor! It's a PR thing!!

I do the whole Knock on wood thing,
making a wish 10:10, 11:11, 12:12 etc
never put shoes on the table
spill the salt ...toss it over shoulder
never open umbrella and put it over head indoors
and plenty of others that I can't think of right now LOL

I don't split the pole if I'm walking with people.
