surprise!

Today's fun (a voicemail on my cell, when I chose not to answer it):

FMIL: 'Hey, I know you don't know about this yet, but your shower is August 5th. Isn't that EARLYYY?!?!? Your mother and sister are out of their minds. At least Ciro's has good food. Let me know if you want me to do anything.'

So I now know the date AND location of my 'SURPRISE SHOWER'.

I can't let my family know - they'll be so hurt.

It is a bit early for my shower, but I know they were trying to plan it for before my cousin (that I'm close with) goes off to college...and one of my BM is in another wedding in August, and we have 2 weddings to attend in Sept, so I guess there was really no other option.

I'm so hurt...I can't believe she did this to me

It's 3 1/2 months early not like it's 6 months before the wedding! What does it matter to her?! Does she have a brain? Did you tell FH?! I know you don't want your family to be hurt but someone needs to give that woman a piece of their mind! I am so sorry she ruined this for you and has been giving you trouble

You're kidding right?! Why the hell would she tell you that? I'd be livid if I were you I'm so sorry she did that to you. She may have ruined the surprise, but I'm sure your shower will still be amazing.

Honestly, I've never been surprised my whole life. NOT EVEN our engagement! I was just looking forward to actually being surprised.

oh goodness nic, im so sorry i wouldnt tell your mom or sister- you dont want any more drama... trust me i speak frpom experience... just try and make the most out of it i know its tough

I would definitely tell your mom and sis.

Seriously, you should not be suffering alone - ie without your LOVED ones knowing what you're going through. You need their love and support.

That's a hard one, My dopey A$$ sister spilled the beans about mine and knowing that everyone (except her) has been working so hard I feel bad telling them that I know the date now but OTOH knowing my sis she might tell them that I know and then I'll feel like I was lying to them. If you think FMIL will tell them that you knew than I would tell them, does thatmakes sense.

what the heck is wrong with FMILs???? Mine started saying...'i got the invitation and..' and i said...'HOLD ON!!! stop right there!!!!'...and she's like....well it doesn't SAY it is a suprise.....are people that stupid???? So sorry she ruined it for you....unless of course she's in on it...and trying to trick you??? that would be better...i hope that is the case
