I ended up finding out about my shower too but I kept it from my mom because I knew how hard she worked & didn't want to hurt her feelings.

I recall you saying she was a bit old fashioned. My shower was last week (3 1/2 months before the wedding). My aunts who are older (mid 70's) couldn't understand why is was early either. I think it s a great idea, because this way it throws the bride off.

Anyway, if it is at Ciro's in NHP, I went to a shower and another party there and it was awesome! Great food and service! And I don't think that 3 months and 3 weeks is too early! She's an instigator and crazy!! Here are some much needed

Oh my goodness! I'm sorry Nicole that she ruined the surprise. I don't think it's too early. My shower is in September for our December wedding. Your shower can be whenever! I know a bride who is getting married in August and her shower was in January.

that is crazy!! it sounds intentional based on her message and her response to your FH. I'm so sorry this happened to you. that's so inconsiderate on her part. what gives? most people have their showers like 3 months early -- it's pretty typical. we just had ours last weekend and we have like 3 and 1/2 months to go. Usually people throw them early too so it is a 'surprise' and to catch you off-guard.
