Soo excited that my favorite flowers, tulips are about to be in full bloom!
Anyhoot.. I notice there are some other Swan Club Brides and wanted to connect us all on one page.
I can't wait for my Mom to see the place, especially the garden.

I got my first bill in the mail the other day and it said they prefer payments by mail rather than dropped off...I like to drop by whenever I can to see how the gardens are looking...(I work 5 min. away)....am I crazy that I want to drop them off?????

I would drop them off in person. I don't trust sending that much money in the mail. I'm sure they wouldn't mind.

yeah, I asked Stephanie about it and she said it was fine, but the letter seemed more 'official' to me so I wanted to get opinions

Hi Ladies!
You can do payments over the phone as well. I did my hold deposit via telephone and they mailed me my receipt. But I know for the final balance, you have to send a bank check. Since I'm in Brooklyn, going in person is a bit much for me. But for the final payment, I will probably pay it in person.

I didn't know you can pay over the phone. Good to know even though FH lives 5 minutes away from the Swan Club, lol.

Yep! You can use your debit or credit card. But since you're near, in person may work out better for some of you! ;o)

For those of you in the Camelot room, how many guests are you expecting? I know the room can hold 220 but I'm worried that it'll be too tight to have that much. I'm thinking 180 or so is the max. What do you think?

Hi!
I saw the Camelot room and you're right! It looks about an 180 max fit. The same with the Garden room I'm in. I don't want no more than 120 guests in that room, even though I was told it can hold up to 150-160 guests. You want people to be able to move around and not feel squeezed in.
My Mom told me everyone is not going to say yes to the invite, especially since my wedding is on a Thursday. My advice for you would be, go over the guest list again and what my FH and I did, we kept some people on 'Standby'. In the event you need to fulfill that guarantee you committed to, you can fill those empty chairs with some of the 'Standby' guest, so you won't lose too much money from the ones that said No. ;o)

SO exciting to see Swan Club Brides/groom here! I felt like I was the only one for so long lol...
I didn't use any of the recommended vendors except for the DJ... went with Ultimate Sound. If anyone needs a DJ def check them out!

I'm in the camelot room and I'm trying to keep it under 200....I don't want any tables completely on the dancefloor or in the corner by the entrance to the room...I'm also doing an A list and a B list...I have a lot of people from out of town or abroad, so I'm REALLY not sure how many will show (I'm also the first of my cousins to be married in the US!)...hopefully it will all work out!

That is my issue too. I have a lot of family in Korea that may or may not be able to come. I've been asking them since I got engaged if they would be able to make it but they won't be able to give me an answer until closer to the wedding. When I was there for my tasting, they were setting up for an event for 160 people (16 tables of 10) and the set up was perfect and not tight at all. I guess we'll have to see.

I felt the same way as well. I notice we are kind of the minority on this board. LOL

Oh so you may be OK since some of the out-of-towners may not come anyway. That must be exciting to be a 'first' in the family. I think it will all work out. Not everyone will say yes. Out of your guest list, probably 175 will be a definite yes!

I'm shooting for the Garden Room when we're ready to book. This is the only place FH and I looked, and we fell in love before we even set foot inside. The grounds are just gorgeous.
We've had to put off our wedding (3/15/14 isn't our date - unless we win lotto). I've been in communication with Stephanie (one of the BMs), and she has been so kind and almost a de facto therapist to me. If any of you are working with her, you will know how fabulous she is.
I wish we could just put the deposit down now, but if we do, we're stuck making payments I'm afraid we won't have. It's a terrible feeling, but I know when we're ready, we're heading right over with a bank check and book our date!

@Jenandiva: Yes my FH and I loved that room as well because you have direct access to the grounds of the garden. We loved the cute ducks in the water too. The ambiance overall of the Swan Club says inviting and homely to me. I hope my Mom likes it when she sees it next month.
In regards to your wedding planning, just do it when you feel it's the right time. Who wants to plan a wedding being stressed out. You never know, it may happen sooner than you think. Sometimes miracles happen like a lost inheritance from a rich family member! LOL
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! ;o)

I have a question. I'm currently booked for the Garden Room but the Camelot Room is still available with a higher minimum. My guest list went up so I'm not sure what to do. How many are you guys having in each room?

Hi I have about 130 for the Garden Room. As long as you can do the 175 Guarantee min for the Camelot, I say go for it!
