Swapping Extra's/Add Ons (with poll)

so my hall gives us 2 free ice sculptures but im unsure if i want them. people hardly notice them and they are only in the CH so who cares ya know.
They told me i can swap it for either
a) ice cream bar
b) chocolate fountain

we already added an ice cream/banana's foster bar at a discounted price...now im wondering if we should just nix that add on and do it for free in lieu of the ice sculptures..then again it only saves us like $350...ugh the dilemma...what to do?

I'm against chocolate fountains. My belief is people who are all dressed up is their best clothes don't want to risk a mess. So I would just stick with the ice cream bar and get it for free. It's more than enough food anyway!

if its a a discounted price i would keep it and then get the fountain for free...i love the ice sculptures but nixed the idea for the reason you mentioned its not there long enough and not many people notice it

I totally agree with you Colleen!

I know personally I would stay far away from the chocolate fountain at any affair.

If it is only going to save you a few hundred keep the ice cream bar and get the fountain

yeah good point colleen at my friends wedding someone reached over me and spilled chocolate all the way down my bridesmaid dress. I was like how did this get here was i eating through the back of my head lol

I'm obsessed with the chocolate fountain at every wedding i go to! i put all this crap on my plate and dip the entire plate in there lol

it's up to you though, if you'd rather spend the $ elsewhere then go for it! It's a nice add on but you could always do something else that people will notice more like the decor

The next morning I found dried chocolate all over my dress

my MOH had a fountain at her wedding and got some on her dress taking pics, but it wiped right up. i go straight for the fountain...i'm a sucker for the chocolate..if people were smart they would just fill up a glass with the chocolate and do the dipping at their table

I love them too it is my favorite

It comes at the end of the night anyway so who cares if it is all over you at that point

If your already paying for the ice cream bar then you might as well keep that and get the fountain thrown in for free....

Honestly, who doesnt love dipping things in chocolate....

I like the the idea of getting the ice cream bar for free. It seems like it will be more enjoyable....who doesn't like good ice cream, lol.
