Saturday I went to my bridal salon w/Jr BM to order her dress (and to 'visit' mine). I asked them if I could have a swatch of my dress as it is a diamond white and champagne and want to pick out shoes, jewelry, tiara, etc. They said they don't do that. I said you can't order a swatch from Maggie Sottero? They said Maggie doesn't do that and if they did my dress would arrive before the actual swatch did. Did anyone else get a swatch of their dress. I know a co-worker of mine ordered a DaVinchi dress and she got a great swatch that contained the bead work. How the heck do I go about matching the dress when I don't have a swatch?

Re: Swatches
try contacting the designer directly. it might cost money but it might be worth it. if not cause my designer wouldn't give me a swatch either then take detail pictures of the dress with camera phone so you always have it if you have a camera phone or if not carry around digital pictures that are close up so you can see details. this helped me pick out my headpiece and all my jewelry. mine is also diamond white and most of the veil places know the designers whites that they use. good luck.

Re: Swatches
I bought mine at David's Bridal and they also don't do swatches. We ended up buying a purse in the store to match the bridesmaid dresses and flower girl baskets that had the colors of my wedding dress in it. Maybe they have something like that. You could also wait until your first fitting and have them save a scrap of the dress.
