SWR: CAMERA GIFT

I was in the process of 'updating' my first generation digital camera (1st Canon Elph generation ) by getting a new one.

One of our friend has the Canon P850 and is thinking about buying one for us for our wedding present.

Apparently it takes 2000 pics and 80 min video (I am sure it's the memory card).

Does anyone know about this camera?

Good and not so good experience appreciated.

TIA

Re: SWR: CAMERA GIFT

I dont know, but I just bought a LUMIX TZ1 and its great! The screen on the back is good, its got 10X optical zoom, takes movies and pics. I got a memory card that takes 45 minutes of video and hundreds of pics. Thats the camera I took the pic of Gabe & the rainbow with. It was like $350 I highly recommend it!
