I in my mid twenties and I've finaly decide that maybe I should start wearing some makeup; I've never really worn makeup on my own by choice, just when I needed it for performances and such. My mom is going with me today to help me pick out some stuff that would be easy to use and such, since i'm clueless. I called her to ask if she thinks it would be better to go to a department store, or to just go to our local CVS. But instead of giving me a clear answer, she say: whatever you want. Except I don't know what I want!
Please help. TIA
ETA: Update a few posts down about my getting some L'Oreal makeup. I love this stuff.
4/2/06 Edit: did my own 'trial'. Here's a before and after.

Re: SWR: Going to buy some makeup UPDATE
Go to the counters at Nordstrom's... they have a great return policy there!

So glad you're happy with what you got! What does FH think?
FH saw pics and thinks I look great.
Edit for spelling.

Re: SWR: Going to buy some makeup UPDATE
My skin is very sensitive, dry, etc. I cannot wear make-up with perfume, etc.
Clinique is good (only one I could use because it does not have any perfume) but I am now using bare minerals. The make-up is so light I don't feel I have anything on. I would never go back to liquid foundation for everyday make-up. It is so much better for my skin.
