SWR - Honeymoon Question - Jamaica Question

we're leaving for HM on Friday; staying in florida overnight and then getting on the cruise saturday

for those of you that have been to Jamaica - we will only be docked there for the day

everyone keeps telling me to do the Dunns River Falls (sp)
Is this a must? Will we regret it if we don't??

I went to Jamaica on a cruise last year and Dunn River falls was awesome!

we combined it with a dolphin swim which is across the street and it was a great day!

It was sooo much fun. You will never forget it. Just be careful walking through the 'shopping village' as you leave it, some of the vendors can be pushy.

all I have to say is becareful!

You almost have to remove your shoes for this, or you will have to get sneaks wet.

On our cruise a guy fell and broke his wrist and ankle...............

it was fun, but I don't get what the hype is all about!

Alfonse and I went. It was VERY slippery. Bring water shoes.... with rubber bottoms.

I don't get what the hype was about either. Then again we went with a tour and we ALL had to hold hands, it was like a human chain.

I don't think it's a must.

I think it's a fun...yes I was holding hands with strangers, but we went in the pouring rain (so it didn't matter the weather that day), and it was fun because we danced and laughed the entire way up!!!!

Afterwards we went down to a flea market and we all went shopping in our bathing suits...the streets were literally flooded to our shins.

Then we ended the day at Margaritaville. This was honestly my favorite island on my cruise!!! So much that I talk about it 3 years later!!!

Yes. You have to go to Dunns River Falls. Be careful climbing the falls though (can be slippery)

You've gotta do it! I go everytime I go visit my family. It is extreeemely slippery so definitely bring water shoes or you can buy them there if you forget. The holding hands with strangers things is a bit weird but they all feel as weirded out as you do so its not as bad lol.

..the poster who warned of the pushy peddlers is right. they will pester you for a sale so don't be surprised. Great fun though, beautiful place.

i've been to jamaica twice - i did dunns river fall once - yeah it was great but would i waste a whole day on it when you dock there? Im not so sure. It is nice, you do hold hands with strangers, and you really need the water shoes w/ rubber soles. Its definetely something different.
If you guys have something planned for your other islands, I'd say to just relax in jamaica - but if you dont have anything planned go for it.
Dolphin encounter/swim is great as well & horse back riding --- escp when they take you in the water!

AND I FORGOT TO ADD:
ITS JAMAICA MON - NO PROBLEM SWEETIE - EVERYTHING WILL BE ALRIGHT - YOU'LL HAVE A BLAST EVEN IF YOU'RE AT THE BEACH DRINKING!!! EVERYTHING IS 'NO PROBLEM MON'

it was a very unique experience and dangerous! But if my mom could do it, alot of other ppl can! I also recommend margaritaville and ricks cafe (live band, amazing sunset, cliff divers)

we are going to Jamaica, but I havent been to DRF. Everyone keeps telling us that we HAVE to do it. Its a free trip included with our hotel so we might go. FH is affraid of the climbing. It must be pretty safe though if they do it all the time.
